Fiber is typically difficult to take as a supplement, but this one being flavor free and non-thickening is better than others. I have not had problems with it turning gloopy or anything as I have with other brand's products. Being sugar free does help improve the nutritional value, as avoiding extra added sugar is always a good thing, particularly when trying to have something healthy. To me, the downside to this product is simply that it seems to be made from lower quality ingredients. I have used other brands' products, and they seem to have better results and more nutritional value. This particular one is nice that it costs less, but it costs less directly because it uses cheaper ingredients in the first place. Personally, if I am going to pay money for extra nutritional supplementation, I would prefer to pay a little bit more but get much better quality out of it.
