I know Equate cotton swabs are less expensive than the brand name cotton swabs. I've bought them many times in the past and haven't had a problem. We used to be able to buy ones with different colored sticks, and my girls loved to pick whatever color struck their fancy. — Now only white ones are available. Defective white ones. The cotton on this batch tends to start slipping off the stick if you move it at all when trying to clean or apply something. Thinking that all cotton swabs are created equal, I thought I'd save a buck or two by buying these store brand Equate swabs. One morning I used the swabs to absorb water from inside my ear canal and the cotton tip came right off inside my ear. I had to pay for a doctors appointment to retrieve the tip ! So, it doesn't pay to buy the cheap item. I'm back to the brand name "Q-tips". I later found out my mother had the same thing happen to her with the cheap brand swabs... Buyer…

You get what you pay for. They look super in the box that you can reclose but that is it. I found the swab parts come off the stick and even cotton swabs that weren't even on the stick. I don't feel safe using on myself or even letting my older children use them. Pay a little extra for the good quality and…
