Overall, this mouthwash works very well. I use it about every day, both to help clean my teeth and also to kill bad breath and give a fresh, clean taste in the mouth. The taste of the mouthwash itself can be a little bit strong for some, but it is not hard to get used to after using it for a little while. It can definitely get between the teeth and down near the gums, helping remove plaque and other buildup that is difficult to reach with simple brushing. Through this, it does seem to help prevent cavities. That being said, it is not a substitute for brushing or flossing; it is something to do in addition to brushing and flossing. It is not the only thing needed to prevent cavities or clean the teeth, but it certainly will help in conjunction with other things. The off-brand price is low, far less than equivalent name brands such as Listerine that can cost nearly twice as much.
