Equate brand is typically cheaper than on brand products, which is good. But personally, I would rather only pay for regular moisturizing lotion that seems to work just as well as "advanced healing" lotion. Scent This product is unscented, so it doesn't give an overwhelmingly strong, unpleasant scent. It simply gives a fresh, clean scent that is rather pleasant. Absorption This lotion absorbs into the skin pretty well simply by rubbing in. My complaint about it would be that it can leave a rather greasy feeling that I personally find uncomfortable. Some may not mind this type of feeling, but I personally don't like it. Effectiveness This product seems to work just as well as any other moisturizing lotion. For that part of it, I would give it a good rating. As far as the advanced healing part of it goes, personally, I'm not convinced that it is very effective at providing healing apart from regular moisturizing. To me, I have not seen any great benefit from it that regular moisturizing lotion does not give.

Fragrance free--NOT!

The lotion is excellent in terms of its ability to heal dry skin. But by what stretch of the imagination is it "fragrance free?" The bottle lies. The product is loaded with nasty, allergenic perfume of some kind that may still be with you the next day after you use it. Spread some on a 3" X 3" surface and the fragrance will fill a small room. If you have allergies or asthma, this stuff is guaranteed to trigger symptoms. I wouldn't be surprised if it triggers migraines also. I use Equate Daily Moisturizing Lotion instead; is not as good in terms of skin healing but is a close to fragrance free as you'll probably find. If you don't have allergies Equate Advanced Healing is a great lotion, but if you do, leave it on the shelf.

Equate do as good a job as Vaseline

4

Equate Advanced Healing Lotion is the generic of the Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion.  It cost less than half the price, and does the job, just as well. I tend to walk around the house with bare feet, here in Florida, and the sun dries my skin out.  Therefore, I need a product that is going to go the extra mile for me.  Equate have given me a thick, white, lotion, which is more like a cream, and it rubs easily into my skin. My skin has a slight shine to it, and it isn't greasy, but feels soft and moist.  There is a really big difference when I put it on one arm and not the other.  I think the Vitamin E and petroleum jelly, are the key to a great combination. The large 17.7 fluid ounce (525 ml) bottle lasts me a long time, and when it is done, I just go out and buy another one from our local Super Wal-Mart.  A really great find.

Equate advanced Healing Lotion good for Sensitive Skin

4

A majority of the reason why I got the equate healing lotion is because I have developed an allergy to the bath and body works lotions.  The Equate lotion was ideal for someone like me who is prone to allergic reactions and other problems because of scented products.  This lotion is fragrance free and hypoallergenic, which is very important to people with sensitive skin, like myself.  After using this lotion the blisters that I had been getting from the bath and body works lotion disappeared.  I also think that for the relative cheapness of this product you really get a good quality lotion.  It does not make you too greasy, but at the same time it is not watery.  I would say that this lotion is comparable to Eucerin's lotions and Avon's Skin so soft, which both cost more money.  If you are looking to save a buck and you use either of those lotions this would be a good lotion to switch to.  Also there is the added bonus of this lotion making your skin softer.

Equate is my first choice!

So, I have tried many different types of lotion - expensive, cheap, store brands, and name brands. I even have a son with sensative skin and don't like the expensive lotion that I buy for him, but I LOVE Equate advanced healing lotion. Supposedly, the Equate advanced Healing Lotion is comparible to Vasiline, but I think the Equate Advanced Healing lotion is better! It doesn't leave a greasy feel on my skin after I use it - I Hate hte greasy after feel of lotion. It absorbs quickly and leaves my skin feeling soft. I have knuckles that are prone to cracking and this does a fabulous job on keeping them nice and soft, even in the winter in the Midwest when it gets below 30 with windchills. I love that it is one of the cheapest lotions on the market and I will continue to use it for as long as they make it. I have no intention of changing from my favorite hand lotion! Thanks for making a great product!

Love the simple effectiveness of Equate Lotion.

Equate Advanced Healing Skin Care Lotion is a great product.  It compares to and surpasses name brand lotions. It is fragrence free.  I love this because when I use a smelly lotion, more often than not, I will get a headache.  This lotion has a simple clean scent that is purely the smell of the lotion, and not some chemical fragrence. It is hypoallergenic, which I love with my sensitive skin.  It does not sting even on dry hands. And as for the effectiveness, it quickly heals dry and even cracked skin in just one application.  It is great in winter when the cold weather dries out your skin.  I use it mainly on my hands and legs after I shave. This lotion is not oily or greasy like so many lotions are.  I can apply it to my legs and put pants on a minute later.  It soaks in quickly without leaving my skin oily. I reccomend this product to use everyday for dry skin.  It's a part of my daily routine.
