This Epson WorkForce 310 was purchased for office use. I would not recommend this product for use in an office setting. The faxing and scanning features in the printer are very good but the copying and printing is not good at all. When it comes to scanning, it does an amazing job. You can scan either black/white and color and the scanned pictures comes out great. The faxing feature was only used a couple of times but it was fast and easy. The copying and printing was the problem. It was very slow and the cost in ink is outrageous. You can't use the XL ink in this model so the ink gets expensive. So in the end, maybe this printer is not to be used for a small office setting. Maybe it would do great for personal use where the ink wont get so expensive.

The Epson Workforce 310 is a great all-in-one network printer, fax and scanner/copier. Setting it up is easy if you follow the provided directions and use the installation CD, although the process may take a while depending on the computer you have. The printer can be either connected directly via a USB cable, or to a home network. I chose to set it up on my home network (don't think you can do both USB and network setup), and three computers with different operating systems can print from it. However, every once in a while, the printer gets "dropped" from the network. When I open the scanning utility, it does not find the printer on the network, and I have to search for its IP, add it back to the network and then proceed. Print output quality is great on this printer. I have printed documents scanned elsewhere and they have come out looking better than the original. The scanner is okay too, warm-up time not too bad. I haven't used the fax that much, but it works too, as does the copier. Edit: I ran out of ink in one of my two black cartidges, and the print won't print anymore! I need to replace the "empty" cartridge, never mind the other black cartridge is pretty much full. If ANY of the cartridges runs out, this printer will not work until it's replaced. And of course, the printer does not recognize non-Epson made cartridges. What a shame.

The Epson Workforce 310 is a fantastic printer. Let me tell you why. It is an all-in-one printer, capable of printing, scanning, copying, and faxing, although I have never used the faxing feature (though I am sure it works great, too). The printer prints very quickly and also very nicely. The ink does not smudge, and dries pretty quickly. Pretty much once it finishes printing, the ink is dried. Scanning is very quick with this printer in regular office mode, but for more higher quality, it does take a while. Copying, both black and white and in color is great. Quick and easy. This printer also has a document feeder, so if you have a stack of, say 20 pages, you can just put this stack in the feeder and it'll copy or scan for you the entire thing, without you having to lift the scanner unit to replace the sheet. However, this printer does not have any duplexing, so if you want to print double-sided, you need to do so manually. Also for scanning or copying, the document feeder could only do one side, so again, if you need to make copies, you would have to turn the stack over to get the other side. This is a bit annoying, but it is fine for the most part. This printer also has ethernet capability, so you take an ethernet cable, connect the printer to your router, and now you essentially has wifi printing abilities, very easy to print anywhere in the house.

I really love this printer. It prints neatly and efficiently and I seem to get a lot for my money as far as ink goes. It is really easy to use and pretty self explanatory. Although, I can't lie it did take me a minute to figure out how to turn it off. I love its copy features and scanning features, both work really well. I have never used the fax feature so I cannot comment as to how well it work or not. I do have one complaint, with most printers even if the ink is running really low, you can still print and print, your pages just get more and more streaky because the ink is almost out. This printer locks itself up at a certain point and won't print anymore when the ink is low. It is seriously frustrating, sometimes you want a page printed even though it will be streaky but if this printer is past a certain point in ink, it won't print it not matter what you do to try to trick it into printing. That is kind of frustrating but I do love that it has slots for two black ink cartridges, keeps me away from the office supply store more.

I just recently purchased this printer when we became in great need of a new printer. Right from the start I've been impressed with this printer and I'm loving all the features!! I bought this printer partly because of the price (and other reviews) and partly because it was an all-in-one printer which I was very eager for. This printer prints very nicely. I've had it for several months, and have not had any issues with print problems. The color is good, and it prints quickly. I LOVE the scan on this printer!! It's VERY easy to use, and SO quick! With just a few clicks of my mouse, I can choose whether to save my files as jpg, pdf, or many other choices if I'm scanning to my computer. I can also choose to scan more than one page into the same document which is WONDERFUL! I haven't tried out the advanced scanning yet, but just the basic scanning has been great for me. Have a copier built in to this printer is another wonderful thing for me! It is a very fast copier, and makes things so easy for my Dad who often has to copy papers. So far, I'm more than happy with this printer, and would recomment it to others.

I have used Epson printers for many years and have been satisfied with most of them, and this one is no exception. Tthe print quality is nice and it prints very quickly. This machine also acts as a scanner, photocopier and fax machine, all of which work very well. One complaint would be the speed of scanning a document. What I find strange is that when I photocopy or fax a document, it is lightning fast, but if I want to scan a document to  save on my hard disk it takes several minutes. I am not quite sure why the speed difference, but its not a major inconvenience. This model has a document feeder so I don't need to stand by and feed one page at a time. The only other thing I find negative about this unit, is that if I scan in a several page document, each page is saved as a separate document. If I want to e-mail someone a five page document, I have to attach five separate documents to the e-mail. I would prefer that it save as one multi-page document as my previous scanner did.

We were ready for a printer upgrade and decided that we liked the Epson Workforce series.  After doing quite a bit of comparison shopping, the Workforce 310 won.  We liked all the features that it offered.  After owning it for about 3 months now, I can say that it's wonderful for what we needed it for.  I print around 30 pages per week of misc items.  It has handeled this very well.  The copy feature is kinda slow.  It takes about 3 minutes per page to copy something.  I guess because it scans it and then prints it out?  I have used the copy feature only a few times for this reason.  But I will say that it is very nice to have the option to make a copy of something at home rather than having to go somewhere to have it made.  We have not used the fax feature yet.  Really don't need it since the scan feature is so efficient.  It quickly scans the item and then e-mails it to the computer you designate on the menu screen of the printer.  The process takes about 2 minutes and the scanned file saves under the images folder on my computer.  It does a very good job with this function.  All in all, this is a great printer for our needs and well worth the price.  I would recommend it for anyone who has light home printing needs and likes having the other options like fax, scan and copy.
