Although there are a few complaints about the Epson Stylus Photo RX580, it still gets high marks from our reviewers. Let's start with the positives. The Epson Stylus RX580 has "lots of bells and whistles", more than what an average user might ever use, but enough to make sure you have just about every printing option that you would want. Also, the Epson RX580 prints at an extremely high 5760 dpi resolution, so you won't be disappointed with the printing quality, not by a long shot. Finally, this Epson Stylus boasts a long 3 year warranty. The negatives? Our reviewers felt that the Epson Stylus photo RX580 ink was a surprisingly expensive. One reviewer says, "I was shocked at the cost of buying a complete set of Epson replacement ink cartridges (nearly $85)." Works well despite a few drawbacks

I purchased this Epson all-in-one to replace another Epson that had "bit the dust." I liked the previous Epson, which affected my decision this time. I am very satisfied with the print quality, whether I am working with documents or photos, and I am a fan of individual ink cartridges so I can replace each one as needed. However, I was shocked at the cost of buying a complete set of Epson replacement ink cartridges (nearly $85.00). Ouch! Plus, the printer is very noisy when in operation. I use this printer to make copies, print postage, labels, and copy photos. Saves me time and money on gas since I no longer have to run as many errands. Although there are several cartridges to replace, I have found a website where remanufactured black cartridges are available for $15.00 for a set of 3. Color remanufactured cartridges are a little higher, but still affordable.

After having two printers for several years (one for printing photos and one with all-in-one capabilities), I decided to consolidate. My previous photo printer was an Epson and I loved the quality, so opted for the Stylus RX580. I was definitely not disappointed! It has proved EXTREMELY reliable and has had little to no problems for the past 3 years!

My husband and I are avid shutterbugs and we are constantly printing off photos for our families. The photo quality is amazing and we have been very pleased with the speed of printing for both photos and regular printing.

I love to scrapbook, and when you use a digital camera you have to print the pictures you want to use. This printer is a way to slip in your camera card and pick only the pictures you want for your book. Then, press an button, and within 10 seconds your picture is ready to put in the book. It has fantastic color, and you can also add borders.

The Epson Stylus RX580 is by far the best printer. The ink will last a long time, and if you run out of one color, you can purchase only that color. My pictures look terrific and the color is bright. I have had no problem with scanning. Printer is easy to use.

My mom bought this printer and she loves it. She even learned how to use the scanner. She copies different things for me to take with me. Also prints photos. She loves her Epson.

I had problems with this printer from the start. First thing out of the box this printer would not recognize the ink cartridge. ( Common problem, I found many others with the same problem online). The Epson support is horrible, and they do NOT have a toll free number to call. The overall print quailty is okay. I wasn't crazy about the picture quality printing. If one color is out, you cannot print ANYTHING until the cartridge is changed. This printer eats ink, and cost was extremely high considering the amount of ink cartridges. The Epson Stylus Photo RX580 InkJet Printer is just simply an amazing quality product. Previously I was using the older version of the same model printer, the RX600. I used that product for many and many years. In fact, I still use that product sometimes. I bought this RX580 because the RX600 didn't print cd covers. Epson will always be my first choice when it comes to printers.
