I've owned the Epson Stylus Photo R300 InkJet Printer for over 5 years now, and it's still going strong. The print quality is beautiful, especially when you pick the correct settings for the paper, and use high quality gloss or matte photo paper. I've printed both photos and art prints from this printer, and everyone compliments me on the quality. The prints are not quite fully water proof, but if you wipe up slight water spills quickly, it can be okay, especially on the higher quality photo paper. The printer itself prints a bit slowly, especially when compared to the newer laser printers available today. However, if the settings are put on lower quality, the printer can still work at a reasonable pace. The ink cartridges are available to buy separately, or as a pack (in places like Costco), which allows for a bit of money savings. Though the ink cartridges are still quite expensive, making this more of a photo printer than a office document type printer.

  I recieved My Epson Stylus Photo R300 several years ago.  My twins were small at the time and this machine was put to the test!!!  I'm not a very tech person but the epson R300 made me look like I knew what I was doing.   The feature that I like the most is I can take a card from my camera and insert it to the Printer and just pick the pictures I want to print!!!!  Its great.  The Epson R300 can also be hooked up to the computer and print pictures from your files.  The Epson Stylus R300 is easy to use and maintain.  The one drawback is that when one cartridge of ink is too low or out it wont print at all.  I tried to print in just another color but it doesnt work.   The ink cartridges cost about 35.00 each and there are 6 of them.  It gets a bit expensive if you do a lot of photos like i do.  Other than the cost of ink there is nothing else that has dissappointed me about the R300.  Ive had it several years now and have never had a problem with it

The Epson Stylus Photo R300 InkJet Printer is truly the only printer you need.  It does it all and it does it well.  It prints great quality pictures from 4 x 6 to 8 x 10.   The colors are very true.  The ink cartridges are all separate which saves money.   You can print pictures directly from your SD disk or other storage type.   It has a small screen for editing pictures too.  I have several other printers but this Epson is my favorite.  I highly recommend it for anyone from pro to novice and for pictures or just every day printing.
