Epson Stylus Photo R220 Review

I am reviewing the Epson Stylus Photo R220. I received this as a gift for Christmas last year, it was recommended by a family friend. I loved it ... for about one month. It created beautiful copies of pictures and then it was out of ink. I bought more which was expected (I think all printers come out of the box with less than half the ink in their cartridges) which cost about sixty dollars. I thought I would get at least six months worth of beautiful pictures again, but unfortunately it ran out within a few months. After the third time I bought new cartridges I realized it was recharging the ink everytime I turned on the printer. This printer has a very nice feature that allows you to print images on your own cd/dvds. Again though there is a downside, I had to wait twenty-four hours before I could load it into my computer or dvd player. The cost of this printer seems affordable when making the initial purchase, but after adding the cost of ink for casual printing you will find you paid a fortune for it's bells and whistles.
