My Epson printer experience

3

I like the Epson all in one for the most part. It prints pretty quickly, The inks dry pretty quickly also. The scanner, fax and copy abilities are easy to figure out.The printer was pretty economical for an all in one machine. The inks come in 4 seperate cartrages. They have a chip that I read makes them unfillable which is a draw back for me. The ink cartrages run from 14.99 for each color cartrage to 18.99 for the black ones. The main thing I do Not like and was not aware of at the time of purchase was when even one cartrage is empty, that will disable my entire epson all in one features. To be honest if I knew this I would have not purchased this item. I emailed the technical support on this issue and they were not helpful.

Clumsy in it's setup...but a decent printer.

I also own a Epson R1800. In comparison, I've had better overall response with the R1800. The Photo 1400 is a lot more particular about the types of paper you use in it. It does, however, do excellent with archival-type papers...not so much with high or premium gloss papers. Overall, I am pleased with the printer and would recommend it's use for someone who needs larger presentation quality printing. Not a bad price either. I'd give it 3.5 stars out of 5. My only real problem is how it acts with certain paper. I had to go out and purchase all new paper, and used up a 1/3 of the ink just trying to get it calibrated correctly. But now it is, and I'm starting to dig it.

Epson Stylus CX9400Fax is exceptional quality for your money.

I bought the Epson Stylus CX9400Fax almost two years ago and I'm loving it. The printer has a really good design, it is efficient in ink usage and does so much! There might be a lot of buttons on there but all are clearly marked and when instructions display on the screen, which can be titled up almost 90 degrees, they let you know exactly which buttons to press. The drivers were super easy to install. I have it plugged into a desktop but use the network to print from my other computers around the house, and that was easy too, all it required was installing "Network Drivers" instead of the regular and naturally Epson makes it very easy for you to make the right choice. I have had difficulty with the Fax option though, I never figured out how to fax from the All-in-One. Otherwise, it all multiple slots for different memory cards and is EnergyStar approved. The scanner, printer, copier work really well and I just need to figure out if there are easier instructions online on how to fax.

I love my Epson PhotoSmart 1400 Color printer

I have had this Epson PhotoSmart 1400 printer for about 5 months.  It prints great pictures and I am amazed that people can't even tell that I printed them.  They think that the store printed the pictures.  The price was the most reasonable for the quality that you get without spending a small fortune.  After having it for only 5 months, however it decided to stop working.  I called Epson and they said that it had some kind of computer glitch and they sent me a new one for free since it was still in the one year warranty.  I now think that I am going to buy an extended warranty on it from Square Trade Warranty Company online.  Other than that I love the printer and at least the company stood behind their product.
