Could be better

2

I bought this printer because of the price. The print quality is really good for the price, and the ink is relatively inexpensive. I bought this for general black and white printing, for coupons, rersumes, forms, etc. It lacks speed, which is fine, and the scanner and copier funtion works great. For me this printer has already paid for itself, except I recently discovered that it won't print unless all colors of ink are full, even if you just want black and white printing. That is my biggest pet peeve, because I don't understand why I need red for example, to print a black and white form. Also, the colors need to be purchased in a multi pack. There is no option to buy a color seperately, except for black.

Quality Printer with Good Feature

This a wifi based printer and bought it for my last years birthday. Printer Setup is easy and you may need to spend some on setting the wifi confuguration to make the printer and scanner work correctly if you want to get the use of wireless technology. It should be properly configured with the installation software and the wifi setup needs to be done properly in the printer using the small LCD screen. Even a small change in the printer software may give issue when launching the scanner application. Once you figure out by reading the onscreen instructions it is easy to install and use. The data transfer rate is reasonably fast and the unit looks solit and durable. Looks little bulky sometime but still worth for the money you spend on this.

All in one wireless printer leave something to be desired.

I bought this printer over the summer to take advantage of the wireless capabilities.  At first, I was very pleased with the printer, but after using it for seven months I find myself wondering why I chose this one.  I have found that this printer is an ink hog.  It does print very fast and initially the quality was very good.  The ink refills are a little cheaper than the canons and HP's of the market, but this printer goes through ink faster than any other printer that I have used.  I had to buy new ink cartridges within 2 weeks of getting the printer.  I didn't feel that I printed the quantity to require refills, but I proceeded to buy refills.  My family recently moved and after 3 weeks of not using the printer, it does not print without lines in the print and there are issues with the way it prints.  We have cleaned the printer heads, reset and recalibrated and to no avail, we still cannot get 1 clean printout without lines.  I will continue to try new things because this is the only wireless printer we have, but I am thankful my backup wired printer is still flawless.

Great Printer, glad we purchased it

We purchased the Epson Stylus NX515 printer about 6 months ago and, i can honestly say i am very pleased with it. Our family goes through printers every year because we can never find one that we truly like for a price we can afford. This one actually came free with something else we purchased, so i was very skeptical at first about the quality. I must say i really love the wireless feature because that allows us to print items when we are using the laptop in another area of the house. It prints very nicely and so far i have not had any problems with paper jamming, as i did with my old printers. It prints, scans and makes copies and even has a memory card insert, which is very convienent for me since i often print my own pictures. If i had to find something bad to say about this printer, it would have to be that it can be a little noisy when it goes to load the paper before it prints, i can hear it all the way downstairs. But i guess thats good, so that i actually know it printed.

Fast, efficient, easy to use

I have had an Epson Stylus NX515 printer for three years and use it mostly for printing school papers and photographs. I have had no problems with it that I can remember. It is easy to set up, change ink cartridges, and customize the options. Printing is painless and doesn't take a long time or disrupt whatever else I'm doing on the computer, and changing the printing options is simple and intuitive. Ink cartridges seem to last a long time, which saves me money. It prints quickly and the print quality is great for everything from plain text to photos. It is easy to load paper into the printer and it has never gotten jammed that I can remember, which has been a problem with other printers I've used. I also use this as a scanner, and scanning is just as simple as printing. I've used the scanner to create both JPGs and PDFs. The interface is intuitive and the scanner works great. I would wholeheartedly recommend this printer to anyone!

I bought this printer when it was on sale at staples. I wanted to upgrade to wi-fi enabled printers and find out what it feels like to have one. After a couple of weeks use, I have to say that I love everything  about this printer. There is some cool stuff you can buy and download from epson's website that makes it easier to create portraits, calendars, or greeting cards. You don't necessarily have to buy from their site as there is a lot of free stuff as well. I love the fact that you can plug in a flash drive or memory card right on the printer and you don't need to have the computer on. I was hoping that it would have the fax function so  I wouldn't have to fax from somewhere else. I didn't know how wireless it really was so I bought an ethernet and a USB cable to connect to this printer. After I downloaded the software, I found out that I don't need any of these cables because it can do all functions wirelessly through wi-fi. The only wire that his printer needs is the power cable.

Epson Stylus printer is garbage

1

**Total garbage.**  We've had this for less than a year and have had nothing but problems with it.  No matter how hard we've tried to center the paper in the feeder, it pulls paper through on an angle.  Every document we print is badly crooked.  Despite this being less than two feet away from our router and computer, we've had a terrible issue with it constantly losing the wireless signal (our other wireless items have no problems).  This has resulted in having to reprogram/reboot the printer, which is not easy, fast or convenient.  Sometimes, we will have to reboot the printer two or three times before it actually accepts the signal. Very frustrating.  Lastly, this printer uses a lot of ink very quickly.  I print documents on "draft" quality and "greyscale" and can go through a printer cartridge in under 50 pages.  To add insult to injury, the ink for this printer is expensive and we've not been able to have the cartridges refilled.  You must buy a new cartridge every time.  In less than a year, we have spent more on ink than we did for the printer!  I won't even try to print out photos on this because I'm sure the ink cost would be so much greater than sending them to a photo service.  Do not waste your money on this machine.  We had our HP for eight years with nary a problem.  We'll be going back.
