Just the greatest printer on the market for the money.

5

It has printed everything I wanted done and keeps right on working. Performance It isn't the fastest printer but the quality out weighs the speed. Copy Quality Have printed pictures that people thought were sent out. Ink/Paper Use The ink lasts a long time and when it is running low you get a warning and the offer to mix ink to create black so you can finish your project. Ease of Use Can be used as a printer, copier, scanner, and fax machine. Has a set up for multiple sheet feeder for the fax, scanner or copier. Durability Going on my 3rd year and it is still going strong. Design I love the design and the fact that the colors are each in their own tank. Not a multi tank that requires you to change when one of the colors runs out.

Not the Best Printer

3

I own one of these printers and it not very good when you run out of ink that came with the printer. The first time you get the printer, it's pretty good and the color quality is great. Now, for all the bad things about this printer. First, it has a glossy finish which is a finger magnet and I think it is also a dust magnet. Second, it feels cheaply made when you open it and also it's pretty light which concerns me a bit. Third, once you ran out of ink and buy ink online, it will ruin your printer so do not buy ink off the internet. I bought ink off the internet and it ruins my printer. It only prints red. I tired cleaning the printer, but instead the printer cleaned out my ink. Now this printer only prints red for me and it's annoying because I can't print any other color. I am still trying to fix it because this is my third Epson printer and I don't want to buy another one. If your thinking of getting a printer, I would go with another companies printer or look more into other Epson printers. Also, do not buy ink online.

good compact printer

For being an all in one printer, I am very happy with this Epson Stylus inkjet. Although it is an inkjet, and therefore you have to keep buying inks for it, and it doesn't print as fast as a laser, Epson has made it so that the ink goes for a long time and the printing speed is very good compared to other ink jet printers. What I like the most about it is that it is a compact size and can fit just about anywhere, under the desk, on top of a filing cabinet, or on a shelf. You need to get the cords to connect to the computer separately but it only requires one if you go through the USB port in your computer. The scanning quality is generally pretty good and fast. It can get a little annoying to scan if you have to do a book, or larger document as it doesn't have a document feeder for the scanner (it's only a flat bed) but that's alright when you consider the cost and the fact that you can get adobe or other software to easily manipulate the files that the scanner produces. I've gotten pretty good at scanning many pages at a time.

Great printer!

We got this printer on a pretty good deal, and I have to say, for what we paid for it, it's a great printer. The copy feature works great, as does the printing....the only thing I haven't done with it is faxing.I don't know how.lol! But I'm sure that would work great too ;) I have a local small store that I get cheap cartridges for it too, so the ink is fairly cheap. You can find good deals for it online too, but you do have to be careful in buying it from the right places, because sometimes the printer will not recognize the cartridge, and you can't print. I have to say the only frustrating thing about this printer, is if you're out of one color of ink, it won't let you print anything! You must buy a new cartridge if you run out of black ink. You cannot just print something in blue instead. The machine simply will not let you. Altogether though, wonderful printer/ copier for the price!

quality printer

I have really liked my Epson NX300. I have found it to be overall a very good machine which is relatively inexpensive. It holds a large amount of paper for the printer at one time so reloading paper is not much of an issue. I love the fact that it can copy documents and print them. This comes in handy with the job search and copying such items as my license or birth certificate. The toner is pretty efficient. I have printed off several hundred pages and my black toner is beginning to get a little low but all of the color cartrdiges are still pretty full. This machine also scans. I have only used this feature a few times but it seems to do a good job. The images that are produced are clear and accurate. As far as ease of use its a breeze. To get it to print you can either command it with your computer or to print a copied or scanned object just press two buttons and your in business. Technically it is not hard to set up. The disk that comes with it walks you through and theres only a couple cables to hook up. If you have a good basic knowledge of computers you should be able to hook it up without any issues.

it seems to be a neat little all in one machine

I'm a printer tech, and very well versed in this field, but I am not the user. The user seems to be satisfied with this machine, but alas the ink is always way to much, and causes the user to consider a new machine considering they can get one with ink for the price of replacing ink. This is done by the industry to drive sales, but yet the new machine has limited ink in it, and the cycle repeats. Time to put ink in it, boom a new machine for 75-100. Black ink is 30, color is 40. So what do you do???? No brainer you buy new. Sort of like that cheap tool from a discount store. People need to buy the real stuff that rarely fails, get an industrial machine because in reality you pay less for the machine and the supplies and the total printed job. That is just th truth, you pay a great deal more when you go the retail route, and they gotcha! I have been doing this for 20+ years, printers, faxes and document imagining. Want the truth about the industry, I just want you to get the best deal ya can, and that is exactly what you want. Get a real machine, don't sweat it for a few years and get on to bigger and better things! Epson Stylus NX 300 - Reliable

4

I purchased a new PC one year ago and with the package came two free printers.  I should have known then there would be a potential for trouble with the printers. While the printers did an adequate job they were ink hogs.  And to make matters worse, the ink for those printers could only be purchased through the company that manufactured those printers. The ink was quite expensive.  First one printers failed - it just would not take a signal from the computer. We swtiched to the second "free" printer and within months it too failed. A friend purchased the Epson Stylus NX300 for me as a replacement and I could not be happier. It is an all in one that sends and receives fax.  It also produces a variety of quality of prints from draft copy all the way to photo quality copies. The ink is never smudgy.  The Epson is also quite conservative with the use of ink without sacrificing quality of the print. The only negative I can find is the startling noise it makes when first making a copy or receiving a fax.

Epson just keeps getting better and so affordable!

Long Long ago...in the stone ages, my first printer was a Lexmark. After the demise and rejection from that extremely unreliable and poorly made printer, I decided to try Epson. I liked the fact that it has individual ink cartridges and you get a lot of use out of them. This All-in-One Espson Stylus NX300 was a great value, it still uses the durabrite ultra ink that you can literally print a photo on photo paper and stick it under water once it is dried and it will not affect it. This particular printer is very efficient, it can distinguish a regular call from a fax call and it has a page feeder, scanner, copier, printer color and bw settings. It is simple to use and reliable. It is a bit bulky but for all it does it really isn't that bad. Plus it is energy efficient which makes me happy as well! Epson is a great brand only second to Canon.

I would gladly recommend this product to anyone because it is an excellant product.  I use mine mainly for my online college class.  I have printed photos with it and they have turned out above and beyond what I expected!  I love this printer!  Keep up the great work, Epson!
