Epson NX105 - All In One Printer. After my Cannon color printer gave up the ghost, I was pressed to get a new printer. I  had my reservations about getting an All In One Printer. However, after reviewing and having the Epson NX105 demonstrated to me, I made the decision to purchase this All In One Printer. The installation of the printer was straight foward. I plugged in the USB cable from the printer to my computer. My computer gave me a prompt that it had found new hardware. After that, I took the software cd supplied with the all in one printer and installed the drivers. This unit is relatively quiet during operation. When I copied a photograph the colors were as vivid as they are in the original photo I scanned. Scanning a document is easy. I went to my start up menu and under programs located the epson file and selected epson scan. After that, I clicked on scan and the scanner does the rest. Printing document files and graphic files is easy as well; because the Epson NX105 All In One Printer's software installation make all this user friendly. I can say, I am quite satisfied with this piece of equipment.

Great Little Printer and Scanner

Nice Size dose not take up a lot of room for a multi function unit compared to some. I have this unit siting on a 2 drawer file cabnet in my bedroom and only the paper dischare tray hangs over the edge and I have the usb cable running through the wall to ther compute on the other side of the wall where my cable tv come in the the bedroom from the living room  with The paper discharge tray can be folded out of the way if needed.  can be used over a network for printing only when the computer that it is hooked to is on. Prints and Scans great, good for basic everday use. But would recomend something diffrent if you plan to print pictures and there are better printers out now that use less ink and have highter quailty ink. Unlike the other reviewer I dont think it prints to slow. Sure it may not be the fastest pinter out there but if yor are not printing large quanties of pages do you need something that prints much faster. Also for the typ of multifunction priner it is I would not expect a unit like this to be any faster. after all its not ment to be used as a everyday copier or a heay use unit so why would it be a fast printer

Did not last

The Epson Stylus NX105 All-in-one Printer seemed like a great deal when I bought it. It installed quickly and easily. I barely used the scanner we already had, but the all-in-one was less money than many printers and took up less space than a scanner and printer. The fact that I do not scan much led me to miss when the scanner stopped functioning properly. After owning the NX105 for 3-4 months, the scanner was putting lines in the scanned items and not scanning the whole document. I did not trouble shoot it, I went back to my old scanner and continued using the printer. Within a couple months, the NX105 started making clicking noises when turned on, which resulted in blinking lights and the inability to print. If you turned the printer off and back on, you could print. Of course the problem got worse and worse. Finally, all the NX05 would do was click. Even though the printer worked fine, I could no longer use it. One reason I bought this printer was due to the four ink cartridges it needed. "Why replace all the colors if only one was low?" my friend said to me as I was looking for a printer. Seemed like good advice. I liked being able to change out only one cartridge at a time, but the NX105 would not print at all if any of the ink was low. If the cyan was low, you could not print in black. The sheet feed is in the rear and stands the paper upright which takes up space. The printer was on the slow end of printers I have used. The draft setting was too light to read and the black only setting took a lot of ink. There was one setting that did not use too much ink was for quick documents. Still did not print very fast, but I was no longer replacing ink every 3-4 weeks. All in all, I was disappointed in this printer. I was hoping for something that was not only easy to use, but would last longer than 10 months (5 of which you had to turn the printer off and on and hope the clicking would stop).
