We purchased the Epson Artisan 800 photo printer about three weeks ago. So far, it is working very well. We like the quality of print but do not expect the printer it's self to last very long. The inexpensive plastic paper bin may lend it's self to breaking if not carefully handled. ( This is not a good thing when you have 3 children in the home who may not be as careful as an adult. But this remains to be seen... ) Another con for the paper tray would be the way we have to feed the paper when printing postage, it's a bit more complicated and takes some getting used to unlike the top feed on the Epson700RX.
We replaced the Epson 700RX which was a more substantial machine but became very difficult to find ink out side of special ordering from Epson company.
We are able to purchase inks at local outlets for the Epson Artisan 800 photo printer. The quality of print is excellent and we noticed the print time is faster as well. We print alot of single page black and white as well as a few photos for family use. We have enjoyed Epson printers for several years and except for the way they handle rebates ( We HATE Rebates!) we have always had good luck with the machines themselves.
