I just got back from a wonderful girls-only trip to Epcot at Walt Disney World. We purposely planned this trip to coincide with the annual Food and Wine Festival. I'll tell you about the festival first.

Food and Wine Festival

There are over 20 countries represented including Australia, South Africa and New Zealand where you can sample a variety of foods and drinks including wine, beer, champagne and frozen drinks. Each country offers two or three different foods and anywhere from two to five different drink selections. They even pair some of the drinks with the foods so you can get the best experience...

I would have to say that Disneyworld is my ultimate favorite vacation destination by far.  There are so many things to see and do for the whole family that there is no way that you could get bored.  I have been to Walt Disney World several times, and I cannot wait for my children to get older so that we can visit again.

Epcot is a great park with a wide variety of activities for the whole family to see and do.  I will have to say that the little ones could be bored a little at this theme park, as this park has the least amount of things for the little ones.  But, they try to have...

I absolutely love Epcot.  It is my favorite of the 4 Disney theme parks.  A lot of people say this theme park is not for kids, but my children, ages 5 & 7 love it.  This theme park has something for everyone.  It has great rides for kids and kids at heart.  My daughter who is 5 loves Test Track and Soarin'.  My son, who is 7 loves all things in the Innoventions building.  I love World Showcase.  I love the theming of all the different countries and I think it's a great place for the kids to learn a little about each country.  I absolutely love the restaurants in World Showcase.  I especially... review »

If you have the chance when you are in Epcot or Orlando, get to the Garden Grill at Epot - Our family loved it!  We went at lunch time, we had made reservations ahead of time and were promptly seated in the restaurant.  If you have never been there, it is a circular restaurant that moves (very slowly, you don't even notice).  The staff is wonderful, the food delicious!  The characters come over to every table a few times so there is plenty of opportunities for photos!  My son was 7 when we were there and he loved the children's meal and dessert!!  The price is very reasonable for the food... review »

This park is amazing for adults. We had a great time going to each "country", eating their food and drinking their beer. It's not as interesting for kids but its still kid friendly/safe. We went there the most when we were in Orlando. The food can get pricey if you go into the sitdown restaurants. Its a lot cheaper if you go to the outside (cheaper looking) restaurants. The menus are identical most of the time. They have a nightly laser show. The only place we didnt like was the future land's restaurant about "the land". It was extremely expensive and not very good. Also the ride in the...

The Disney theme parks are all great...friendly people, good quality, clean, and definitely a great time.  I would recommend visiting all of the Disney Parks.   Epcot is a wonderful park, but it is more of a "things to see" park, rather than a "things to ride park."  Adults will have a wonderful time at Epcot, but small children might get bored with it.  If looking for a park for small children, Magic Kingdom is a better option.  The one Epcot con, in my opinion, is that they keep increasing their admission and parking prices, and they are getting rather high.

Epcot is a lot of fun... for adults.  I think kids that are not at least in their late teens would get bored in this park.  If you are visiting Orlando with children, this probably will not be your best bet.  As a honeymooning couple, you'd probably love it.  There are romantic restaurants and different rides.

It was my 3rd time to Epcot but the first time I'd gone for Food and Wine festival. Very nice-LOTS of walking, of course-but still fun to see the different cultures. And of course my favorite part of Epcot is always the fireworks at the end in the lake

EPCOT is fun and educational-- with great places to eat- this time of year the flower and garden festival is beautiful- and in the fall the Food and Wine festival is fun.. and the Holidays are special as well... we love the concert series too.

Over the years our favorite park has changed from the Magic Kingdom to Epcot.  Maybe it is the World Showcase, or the everchanging Future World.    Maybe it is all of the additional entertainment.....

We have gone to the food & wine festival at Epcot for the last 5 years. It is so much fun trying food and wine from the many different countries that we go back several times during the festival.
