I wish they were more up front/informative about insurance&serv.

I got an upgrade because there were no economy cars left. That was nice, since the guy behind the counter scoffed at me for choosing an economy car in Pheonix.

I was very happy with the quick, courteous service until I was asked about insurance. I booked through Travelocity and did not know anything about insurance, whether I needed to buy more insurance (on the car), or how much it was ultimately going to cost me. I felt rushed in my decision there at the airport, though the guy would have waited for me to pull out my calculator, I would have felt silly.

I was having to make a quick decision based on the fact that the non-profit organization I worked for was paying for this rental. I did not want to incur more expense than necessary and I did not know whether I was already covered under my own insurance, or what. I had actually based my travel plans (flying into Pheonix, then driving to Flagstaff) on the low cost of the rental car. The low cost changed really fast when the guy asked me if I needed insurance (a question to which i did not have a good, knowledgable, quick answer).

I wish I was more informed before my travels.

I also wish I had known it was more expensive from the airport as opposed to in town somewhere. I know the things I have been talking about were probably buried in fine print, but it would be nice if they made the experience more pleasant to a new, first-time renter by having such things (FAQs) more available and readily accessible.

Ultimately, I just wish they could have been more up-front about the insurance issue. I am still not sure I made the right decision.
