When I called, the voice and the other end of the phone was very friendly and accommodating. That same person was there when I went to get my car and remembered my name. I was interested in a small, simple car and they didn't have any at that location. They called around, however, and found such a car at a nearby location. They drove me over there to pick up the Chevrolet Cobalt I was to drive. It was clean and the transaction was smooth.
Several weeks later my car was found about 60 miles east of my home. The car was fixed out there and, guess what. There was an Enterprise office two blocks from the repair office. Ordinarily car rental companies charge you a fee for picking up at one location and returning to another. I explained the circumstances and they waived the fee.
When I went to drop off the car, I did not have to even pay the bill--the insurance already had made arrangements to pick it up. They gave me no trouble and the whole rental experience was without drama.
I also had rented from Enterprise when my car was being worked on because, guess what, there is an Enterprise outfit just near my mechanic's shop. My mechanic has a special arrangement for low-cost rentals.
Enterprise is a plain vanilla no drama car rental company that provides good service and accommodates customers. It may not rent the sexiest vehicles around and sometimes some locations may not have a large selection of cars. If what you're looking for is a no hassle rental experience, Enterprise will usually provide it.
