     I haven't been really sick for more than twenty years but this year I neglected to get a flu shot and developed a serious strain of flu that had me flat on my back with no appetite and I was rapidily dehydrating. After I spent a few days in the hospital to be pumped full of fluids to help with the dehydration, I was still unable to eat. My doctor said that I needed to get some kind of nourishment into my body and he recommended Ensure Plus Protein. Great to drink for poor diet, or just a snack!

I first tried Ensure after a dental extraction. I am usually not able to swallow pills easily as it is, so this thick liquid seemed the ticket.

It's cost is a bit much; but once you buy it, you'll love it. I was not a happy camper after the extraction and drinking it filled me up and made my pills far easier to swallow.

The taste took a bit of getting used to. I have never even had as much as a slim fast in my life! I was quite unaccustomed to liquid diet/nutritional supplement drinks. But, I am glad they have this flavor.

I fed this to my father. The doctor needed him to eat but he just wasn't able. He'd say, "Come on over and make me one of your shakes!" I'd use this ensure and add chocolate ice cream (Dr. recommended.)  He loved them! Until he passed away, this helped him maintain his weight and he enjoyed the times we spent chatting while we drank them. I would make them really think and he just loved the chocolate taste. I have a 15-month old daughter who has trouble gaining weight. At her last checkup, she hadn't gained one single ounce in three months! Someone suggested I try giving her Ensure, and I could tell a difference in her in two days! She was gaining weight so fast I started only giving her a third of the can at a time and mixing it with whole milk. I actually bought the equate brand, which apparently works just as well. Both my husband and my youngest daughter drink Ensure.  I found that instead of fighting with my daughter to get her to eat, ensure does the trick.  I'm not a big fan of the drink, but by them both having sensitive stomachs this was the best choice for a supplement.  I don't have to fight with anyone eating breakfast anymore.  Neither one is on a diet they drink the product as a filler because of their busy life-styles.

If you are a person who eats the same kinds of foods daily, Ensure Creamy Milk Shake is a good way to add balance to your meals.  It will add essential proteins, vitamins, and minerals that may have been previously missing in your diet.  On the other hand, this shake is full of corn syrup which is not so good for losing weight as it can leave you ending up craving more sugary and fatty foods.

I was working 12 hour night shifts and was losing weight like crazy. I finally went to the doctor because I was feeling weak all the time. He told me to drink Ensure everyday for a couple months. He said to try the Boost because it was cheaper and was the same thing. that's what I got It was good to me and I started picking my weight back up.

searching  for coupons because mymomwho has cancer needs it.if you look on the internet ,and sign up at the pharmatcutcal sites you can get coupons plus also at the doctors office-ensure is made to go thru tubes without clogging. i have to try walgreens and cvs generic brand,

I was talking to a nurse friend of mine and we got on the subject of these heathy drinks,she said to me that Carnation instant Breakfast drink is just as healthy for you and a lot cheaper too. I went to the store read the lables and she was very very right.

My son has been using Ensure for years. He's a vegetarian, so it's sometimes  hard to get enough protien in him. Ensure is a great way to get him to have enough protien in his diet. He loves the chocolate and vanilla flavors!
