All the vitamins my daughter needs

4

My daughter, who was born premature, is very underweight for her age and I have had issues with getting her to eat the amount of food she should. Her pediatrician was worried that because she wasn't drinking enough milk, nor was she eating her baby food like she should have been so she suggested Enfamil Poly-vi-sol. I must say I am very happy with these vitamins because I am happy knowing that on days my daughter just doesn't have an appetite that she is still getting some of the vitamins she is missing out on from her food. Although the flavor is terrible and Poly vi sol stinks I've learned a technique of sticking the dropper in the side of my daughter's cheek that way she swallows the liquid automatically without spitting it out. At first I would mix it up in my daughter's milk so she would not taste it, or at the very least if she did taste it the flavor wouldn't be as strong but I realized that when doing that she still wasn't getting all of the vitamins she needed since at times she wouldn't finish the bottle or the food I was feeding her.

My babies did not like it!

After a couple months of exclusively breastfeeding my children, their pediatrician recommended that I start giving them Poly-Vi-Sol to make sure that they get all of their necessary nutrients for healthy growth, especially vitamin D. So I went to the store and picked up this product. I was definitely blown away by the price right away. I think this product is very expensive, especially when you factor it in with all of the other expenses that come along with babies. But I went ahead and bought it and when I got home I got it ready to give to my child. The process of getting the correct drop dosage is not easy. It is hard to get just the right amount of the liquid in the dropper. And on top of that the smell made me want to throw up. This product does not smell good at all! It almost made me feel guilty giving it to my baby, because I couldn't help but wonder how bad it would taste based on the smell. And sure enough my baby didn't like it at all. She started to spit it out and it made her cry and gag. It was such a mess and a big hassle. But I continued to use it until I got her eating foods. And now I am using it with my son, because even though it seems disgusting, I am confident that it is what's best. So even though I don't like it, if your pediatrician recommends it I definitely think it should be used.

Great for anemic babies

The reason I gave these Enfamil Poly-Vi-Sol Multivitamin Supplement Drops with Iron an eight and not a ten is because I tasted them before mixing them in with my daughter's bottle. The taste is absolutely horrible! They are supposed to be fruit flavored, but I didn't taste any hint of fruit flavor at all. But when you think about it, a 3 month old baby hasn't been exposed to any tastes other than formula, which is pretty nasty also. My doctor told me my daughter was anemic when I took her in for her wellness check up. He recommended these drops so these are what I bought. The price was great also. My daughter mainly needed the iron, but I felt better knowing she was getting all the vitamins contained in these drops also. My daughter did get constipated from the iron though. My doctor just told me to give her about an ounce or two of prune juice and it would relieve the constipation. The prune juice did the trick so I could continue mixing the drops into her bottle.

Very beneficial but wish it tasted better.

I am undecided about these drops. My daughter's pediatrician advised me to start using them when she was a few months old and still nursing. I always had trouble feeding her, and she always had very bad colic. She just was not gaining weight properly and at the speed she should have. I could tell even from the smell from the dropper when I first gave it to her how bad they must taste, and felt a little bad! I tried a little drop myself and yes, it was that bad. She protested and cried everytime I administered he drops to her, which made it very nerve racking. Thankfully, she did keep it down and did not gag it back up again. The vitamins definitely worked. They provide 100 percent of the recommended iron she needed. It also definitely made a difference in her eating and colic habits, as well as her weight gain. I used it until she was just over a year old. I would have liked to have continued with the supplements, but she was getting to old to force feed them to her on a daily basis.

It works, but the smell/taste is hard to get over.

When my children were of the right age, my pediatrician told us to start them on vitamin drops until age 2 (when we could switch to chewables). All well and good. She recommended the A-C-D version of this eye-dropper supplement (contains only Vitamins A, C, and D). This version contains those as well as a host of others that are good for infants/toddlers. Well, one day I couldn't find the ACD version and all I could get was this. I tried it. Wow. The smell from this stuff is overpowering and I don't think the taste is very good either because my babies turned into ferocious animals trying to escape a trap when we tried to give these to them. The ACD version has more of a fruity/berry smell and must have a similar taste because my kids loved it and we never had any problems getting them to take it (from day 1). This stuff---wow...it got to the point that I didn't want to administer it because *I* couldn't stand the smell. I checked with the doctor and she says that the ACD is really all the baby needs---he/she will get plenty of everything through the mother's milk/formula/food etc., and that little extra oomph is provided in the simple ACD. This stuff is all that with some more stuff that while is good for the baby, just isn't worth the fight to administer.

Poly vi sol has helped my preemie stay healthy his 1st year!

Pediatrician and mom recommended! My son was born three months early at 3 pounds and stayed in the NICU for 68 days. The Doctors started giving him 1/2 a dropper, 2 times a day, now we are able to give his a complete dropper in the morning. We simply fix his bottle and in another small bottle we prepare the vitamins and we give that to him first. Along with drinking breastmilk his first six months he is now a year and 25 pounds! The pediatricians are astonished by his weight gain. Thank you poly vi sol for helping my preemie to catch up and keep him healthy! We have been lucky thus far and have only experienced the congestion and runny nose!

My Kid Enjoys Enfamil Poly-V-Sol Multivitamin Supplement Drops

My Little One really likes Enfamil Poly-Vi-Sol Multivitamin Supplement Drops. I want to make sure that my Little One is getting all of the necessary vitamins and minerals. My Little One looks forward to the syringe full every day. Enfamil is a little Pricey, so watch to see when it is on sale. Also, my Little One likes the drops so much, that they are asked for more than once a day, even though I only give one serving a day.

Pediatrician recommended and works great

I have an extremely picky eater and my toddler does not like meat, so I was afraid that she was not getting enough iron in her diet. Although my pediatrician said that most toddlers don't need any vitamins to supplement their diets, she agreed that because my daughter was refusing to eat meat and was very picky, that I should try a vitamin that had iron in it. She did warn me not to give her too much, so I am very careful with this product. The **Poly-Vi-Sol Multivitamin Supplement Drops - 1.67 Oz (Poly-Vi-Sol) **made by Enfamil was her recommendation. I was comfortable with the brand because we had used Enfamil formula to supplement when my daughter was an infant. Although it smells terrible to me and I thought there was no way she would like it, she happily downs it straight from the dropper every day!****

Poly-Vi-Sol kept my child healthy and eased my mind.

I started my son on Enfamil's Poly-Vi-Sol Multivitamin drops when he was just over a year old. We had used the Tri-Vi-Sol before that and it was wonderful, so we "moved up" to the Poly when it seemed that getting the extra vitamins would be good for his growing body. The vitamins are a liquid and are taken with a medicine dropper (included) which make it very easy to dispense. My son has always taken the vitamins without any issue. I was a little nervous at first, when starting the Poly, since the vitamin is a little darker than the Tri-Vi-Sol and it has a stronger smell. It smells a little more "vitamin-y" and I was worried my son wouldn't take it, but after he swallowed the first dropperful, he just smiled and said "Yumm!" Now, the vitamins come in regular and "with iron". We have only used the regular, but now that my son is going to be two, at his next doctor's appointment I am going to ask about switching to the iron ones. My son has always been a good eater, so I know he is getting good nutrition, but the vitamins just give me that added peace of mind that he is getting all he needs. Plus, he likes them. :) I also think that they have helped him to stay healthy and avoid sicknesses. The Multivitamin is a mix of 9 different vitamins and they only need to take one dropperful once a day, so it has become part of our bedtime routine for a healthy childhood.

I felt good giving this to my baby

5

As a breastfeeding mama, I truly felt that my body was able to provide my daughter with everything she needed during those first 6 months before I introduced solid foods. However, my doctor recommended that I give her **Enfamil Poly Vi Sol with Iron Drops **to make sure she was getting all the necessary vitamins. I trust my doctor, an started giving them to her. I had read information about the right time to give vitamins to baby and how you might have issues with your baby taking the vitamin. We gave her a dropper full every night and never had an issue. After her sleep sack went on, she knew what was coming next and welcomed it with an open mouth. It must have something yummy tasting in it, because she completely took to her vitamin. To me, the stuff smells blah. I also really did not like that it stains things it comes in contact with (so be very careful you don't spill it!) Still, making sure my baby gets her vitamins and the necessary iron is very important, and **Enfamil Poly Vi Sol with Iron Drops **allowed me to do that for my daughter.
