Enfamil Next Step formula is supposed to be used for babies transitioning from regular formula to whole milk. Its used for babies 9 to 24 months. We used one can that we had a coupon for when my daughter was about a year old and we were just finishing weaning from her bottle. I don't think she really needed it at all, and I brought it up to my pediatrician who said it was completely unneccesary. It is a milk based formula that is supposed to give older babies and toddlers more nutrients than just drinking milk. As long as they are on a well balanced diet, they already get all the nutrients they need, so why spend the extra money on formula when you can just switch them to milk? It did not make weaning her off the bottle any easier, so there really wasn't any benefit for our family. I think the only children who will benefit from this formula are kids who don't receive adequate calories or nutrients from their diets.
