One of my favorite's, and definitely one of my daughter's favorite infant formula is Enfamil Lipil with Iron, with DHA & ARA. We liked it so much we even used the Toddler formula for a little while.
Fast Facts about Enfamil Lipil with Iron, with DHA & ARA
Infant/ baby formula for use during a baby's first twelve months, a toddler formula is also available.
Available in pre- mixed can/canister, ready to feed or add water.
Contains DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) and ARA (Arachidonic Acid).
Costs more than other formulas with Iron, DHA and ARA.
My Viewpoint: Enfamil Lipil with Iron, with DHA & ARA the yellowish colored finely ground powder is easier to mix than many other powders. The final result appears more "milk-like" which doesn't really matter to my baby, but it is nice for me. There are far fewer bubbles in the final product of this powder based formula and none at all in the ready to feed or concentrate. This means less gas and stomach aches for my baby.
The addition of Iron means that I don't have to worry about providing a vitamin supplement to my baby. DHA and ARA are now quite often used in many formulas, it's not unusual but it is essential for growing babies brain development.
I also found that her diapers were more like those of a breast fed baby, which was good news for me. It means that all was working well, and that the iron contained in this formula wasn't causing her problems with constipation - which happened quite frequently with other formulas.
Though more expensive, the free samples from the website and my doctors office every visit, as well as the monthly gift checks/coupons to help off set the costs of this formula convinced me that it was worth the extra money. We didn't really have any stomach problems but I feel that the quality of this product was much better than many other formulas I tried with my other children.
