I love this baby formula. I have a preemie and he has a hard time digesting other formulas. This formula has only 1/4 of the lactose that other regular formulas have. That makes it easier for him to digest. My other option was to put him on a soy based formula and I didn't want to do that because most soy-based formulas have a terrible smell. I noticed a difference in his gassiness and fussiness within 24 hours after I changed over. I also noticed that his spit-up was considerably less on the Gentlease formula. I have found out that it is hard to find a storebrand of this formula. This brand is also a little pricey. The can also boasts that it was formulated by a scientist and that no storebrand is available for this formula. That is false. Wal-Mart has a storebrand for Genlease at almost $10.00 less per can. That makes it very affordable and I did not notice a difference in color, smell or effectiveness of the storebrand.
