This formula really did the trick for my fussy girl.

I was skeptical this product could really help un-fuss a fussy and gassy baby. My babe started on Good Start, but at three weeks, she became an inconsolable, gassy baby. Not fun for anyone in the house! Even the dogs were getting tired of the constant crying. I did not want to switch to soy as i had done with my first child, so i tried this. Great for a baby who can't get up gas very well

We tried formula after formula and brand after brand. This was the one formula that worked well on our son's easily upset tummy. From the beginning he we colic and we had a horrible time getting up gas. He would cry for hours on end because he was so miserable. The Gentlease formula allowed him to get up gas easily. Instead of having to burp him for twenty plus minutes I could simply lift him up to my shoulder give him a few pats and out the gas came. I love this baby formula. I have a preemie and he has a hard time digesting other formulas. This formula has only 1/4 of the lactose that other regular formulas have. That makes it easier for him to digest. My other option was to put him on a soy based formula and I didn't want to do that because most soy-based formulas have a terrible smell. I noticed a difference in his gassiness and fussiness within 24 hours after I changed over. I also noticed that his spit-up was considerably less on the Gentlease formula. This product was said to reduce gas and fussiness in babies. My nine month old has a very sensitive tummy and is prone to these symptoms so I thought it would be a perfect fit. Unfortunatly, the symptoms were increased and her discomfort was obvious. It appears when you shake the bottle that because there are so few bubbles that it would be able to aid the baby in digesting the formula. I did not find this to be the case. I used Enfamil GentleEase formula on my youngest son, and it worked wonders for him. He wasn't fussy and gassy. He also wasn't constipated as much as my older two boys were. The powder dissolved well in water, also. I occasionally used the concentrate form, as well, and it mixed well with water. It is a bit pricier than store brands, but I was afraid to change to a store brand. I was willing to pay the bit extra, since I got such wonderful results from it. My youngest son was always constipated and fussy. We had him on a regular milk based formula, but he is like his mother and is lactose intolerant. After switching him to lactose free formula (we actually use this and the Similac sensitive) he is a total different baby. He is no longer constipated, not fussy at all and has started sleeping through the night. It is not as cheap as the store brand, but enfamil will send you money saving checks every month, and combined with coupons it actually makes the formula affordable. I have tried every lactose free and soy type formula on the market - but either my son would get horrible bouts of gas or spit up half his bottle. I asked his pediatrician what I should do and he said the only thing I could do was to keep switching untl I found a formula that worked and after many sleepless nights later, I was in Target and saw the big purple can. When my son was born I was breastfeeding and bottle feeding. Initally I gave him the regular Enfamil formula, but he had a lot of gas and was REALLY fussy. So his doctor suggested I try Enfamil Gentlease and immediately his gas problems ceased. It was a miracle! I felt so relieved! I thought I would try to cut costs by trying a generic brand of Gentlease formula. Unfortunately it didn't work. So I stuck to Enfamil Gentlease until he finished drinking formula. We switched from regular Enfamil to the Gentlease because our son had very bad gas but no other symptoms of Colic. With in days of using using the Gentlease his gas was gone. Gentlease is milk based with 1/4 less lactose then regular Enfamil. The proteins are partially broken down so it makes digestion easier on babies tummy. I was breastfeeding my daughter and had intented to for her first year. However, she became extremely crampy and wouldn't be able to pass gas. She would be in tears. I had to cut my diet down quite a bit and watch what I ate because things would upset her. Near 11 weeks she started to go to daycare. This is the only formula my son can handle. His poor little tummy will ache terribly if I give him anything else, I'm so grateful they make this formula and I will not be switching to any other kind! I love that Enfamil sends gift checks too. It does get pricey with a large can costing about $30, but it is worth it. I tried the store brand claiming to be "Gentle" formula and coparable to Gentlease, but it was just not the same at all and caused him constipation and gas.
