This book is in my top five sci-fi's.  I read it when I was in middle school and couldn't stop.  It's a book that quickly attaches itself to your heart and you become emotionally involved in the characters lives. —  I love sci-fi and this is one that covers all the basics of the genre.  Outer space, space ships, alien species, war in space. —… read full review »

This is an excellent book. Sciencefiction without going too deep into specifics that the reader feels lost in technical jargon. It is one of my favorite books.
