I was a little disappointed at this storyline

a movie guru, into movies that tell a great story, character-lover, very picky about kids films

Not a cool adult cartoon

The movie starts off with a lot of cartoon action, which made me wonder if the kids could keep up with the storyline. But, then it switched into modern day life, and that's when my attention was bored. It just seemed to be a regular love story with nothing unique. However, my 4 year old son and 10 year old nephew liked it.
