Enchanted Review

If I could give this film more than five stars I probably would!  Some have said that the animated beginning of the film is cheesy.  Well it is!  That is fun of it!  I'm not sure I have ever seen a film that was completely devoid of cheesiness.  The storyline is great with a good moral center.  Be yourself no matter what!  It also has a good love story.

The acting is also superb!  Amy Adams (Giselle) is one of my new favorite actresses!  She played Giselle with a light innocence that was always believable.  Her character was often clueless but Amy made her lovable instead of annoying.  Patrick Dempsey has hot as ever!  And did very good with his role as well.  Watching this film I had no trouble believing him as the single father of a young daughter who is jaded and no longer believes that "true love" exists.  James Marsden was hilarious as clueless, over the top, Prince Philip.

 Towards the end it may get scary for some younger kids because of a scene with a dragon.  It may actually be scarier than some other disney vilians because it is not animated.  It seems more real seeing it in the child's world.

All in all I would say this is a wonderful film and I cannot wait until I can pick up the DVD I Pre-ordered.
