I thank God everyday for my rheumatologist, it has been over nine years of treatment through his services at the Veterans Hospital in Northport, New York. My diagnose is poly arthritic-rheumatoid, osteo,fibromyalgae, osteoporosis, ankyloses spondylitis, hip replacements, cervical fusions bilateral carpal tunnel, r-thumb fusion, etc. At first I was on cortisone injections and Vicodin-ES. I have had Rheumatoid arthritis for twenty three years now. I just had my second son and when he was three months old, I had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance because I could hardly move a muscle.  That was when I was diagnose with Rheumatoid arthritis.  I have been on so many medications, just trying to find which one would work the best.  In 2002, my Rheaumatologist introduced me to the medication Enbrel. At first he tried me on Humira, but after the third shot I had a bad allergic reaction to it.  Then I started taking Enbrel and in about two weeks, I had less pain, less stiffness...

I was diagnosed with Psoriasis at age 5.  I developed Rheumatoid Arthritis in my early 20's and was told without treatment now, I would have 10% use of my hands by age 50.  So by the age of 25, over half of my body was covered in Psoriasis and there was very little I could wear without feeling extremely self-conscious.  I used Enbrel for several months before becoming pregnant again and I noticed a difference within 2 months.  It worked that quickly.  My Psoriasis began going away and my joints felt much better.  I look forward to using it again after my pregnancy.
