Everyone around me has done this music download thing except me. So recently when I ordered the new Panormous pan pizza from Pizza Hut and got a coupon for 50 free music downlds, I decided to give Emusic.com a try. After all, it was free from Pizza Hut and I like anything that's free.
I signed up for the free trial subscription. You must enter a valid credit or debit card to be accepted. I didn't like that but what are you gonna do. I just read everything very carefully before clicking the submit button. They gave me fifty free music downloads and off I went on their website to hunt for music.
Well, I am now music download savvy, thank you very much. However, it was very difficult to find fifty songs from their website to download. I mean, it was like looking for apples in a corn field. But I liked downloading what I did find and got pretty excited to think that I could enjoy hit music on my computer and burn them to a disc, which I did.
The only music artists worth downloading were artists like Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass, Nancy Sinatra, and one hit wonders like The Archies, Vicki Lawrence, and a few others. But it took me days to go through thousands of listings just to find these. They did have Frank Sinatra but his catalog was limited. Some Dean Martin. But no Abba, Elton John, Carpenters, Billy Joel, etc. etc. etc. I did find some Olivia Newton-John but only albums that didn't sell. Obviously her label are trying to get as much money as possible from albums that didn't sell much.
Overall emusic was terribly disappointing but I do recommend giving it a try to get your free downloads. They do allow you to burn what you select.
Since my free trial to Emusic.com a few weeks back I have since gone on to Rhapsody.com which is so much better, and I am ready to tackle ITunes and any other music download site. Watch for those reviews soon.
