The Emporio is a nice hotel to use as homebase for exploring the dual resort cities of Ixtapa (modern) and Zihuatanejo (old world). Emporio Hotel in Ixtapa has an excellent location in Ixtapa. The hotel is very simple in decoration and amenities. Don't expect anything 'extra' or those little things that you might need the last minute, i.e. iron, matches, soft towels, or small sewing kit... which you eventually get but after a long... read full review »

We were scheduled to move back to a different hotel which we had prepaid, but after staying here we opted to take the loss on the other and stay the remainder of our trip here. It was the most pleasant accommodations we have experienced and would strongly urge anyone going to Ixtapa to stay here. We will return and definitely make this our Ixtapa home. The service here is unparalleled.

Shopping: Short Walk, Dining, shopping and transportation are less than 100 yards away.
