I love to cook, but I don't like having a lot of clutter on my countertops. I always put my toaster and other small appliances back in the cupboard after using them because I think they make the counter look messy. Hence my hesitation in buying a toaster oven. Where the heck would I put it?
Call me weird, but my family didn't have a toaster oven growing up, so I was very unfamiliar with them. When I was having dinner at a friends house a couple months ago, I watched my friend put Texas Toast in her toaster oven. Oh my, I can eat Texas Toast without having to turn my oven on in the middle of August? I'm sold. A couple days later, I went to Target and bought the Emerson Stainless Steel Toaster Oven. It's small, so it doesn't take up a lot of counter space and it matches the rest of my stainless steel appliances.
This toaster oven has 1,000 watts of cooking power and includes a baking tray and wire rack. It bakes, broils and toasts. I still use my regular toaster for toast, but I love my Emerson Stainless Steel Toaster Oven for heating frozen appetizers like jalapeno poppers, chicken nuggets and Texas Toast. I love not having to turn on the oven when it's hot outside!
My only complaint about this toaster oven is that the wire rack is difficult to remove from the toaster oven. The crumb tray is also hard to detach from the wire rack. Besides that, I love it. It is very convenient, stylish and inexpensive.
