Comments about Emerson Fans Toaster Oven:
The Emerson .7 CuFT 6 Slice Toaster Oven I have is red in color and although its taken a little while to get used to it, I'm liking it more and more. One thing that has taken me some time to learn is to balance out the temperatures because instead of just selecting "toast" you have to select "toast" AND select a temperature. I used it for probably a good two months before realizing I didn't have the temp turned up enough to toast and thats wht it was taking f.o.r.e.v.e.r to toast my food! I should have read the manual but now that I have that figured out it works great. I've found that setting it at around 350 degrees to toast is perfect and it toasts in a time that is much more reasonable than I was starting out with.
The two main things I do not like about this toaster over are not big deals but I thought I'd mention them. First is that it is big. I didn't realize at the store that the back of the toaster does not push back to be flush with the wall, there is a huge "bump" type thing on the back that causes it to appear like its not pushed against the wall enough. This may be a safety hazzard, prevention sort of thing but I just wish I had noticed this in the store. The other thing I do not care for is that the top rack is a rack but the second rack is just a pan, I would have preferred the option of having two racks with a removable pan. The second shelf ends up essentially being a giant crumb collector which is not my favorite feature. Not a big deal of course but it is something to keep in mind if you do like to have two racks in your toaster
