The fryer was a delight while it worked correctly. One Problem seems to prevail that is when filtering oil it leaks all over. . So make sure you put it on a baking tray or something like that to keep it from being all over. Performance When it works it preforms well. For 9 moths I had no problem with this unit. Then I deep fried a single potato's worth of fries. After 4 minutes of cooking I placed the basket on the draining clip, put the top on to keep them warm when the unit exploded. I suffered many burns to my arms, legs head and shoulders. Causing me to seek attention at the hospital. Two separate labs evaluated the unit and both had the same findings: The temp sensor was defective on an intermittent basis. Causing the oil to overheat extremely and explode to the normal moisture in the potato's. Ease of Use This unit is very easy to use. but again be careful thank goodness there was not a child in the kitchen at the time. Durability I got about 9 moths of service before the unit exploded. Ease of Cleaning It is easy to clean. most parts are dishwasher safe. But the oil filtering system does leak. Make sure the oil is cold before you filter.

I love the deep fryer. I love the filtration system so much. I just wish the part that you filter the oil into could have been heat resistant. I would like to be able to drain it right after I finish using it. Other than that I think it works great. I have fried so many items, probably some that were not meant to be fried. Love it.

My friend has this fryer and I was really envious because it's a very good product. He paid a lot for the name but it is worth the money. The difference and selling point of this fryer is the easy to drain and strain of the oil by using a drawyer underneath the fryer that allows you to turn a knob to allow the drainage. There is a built in filter that allows you to strain the oil for you, so overall it makes this quite easy to use and clean. Cleaning wise is very straight forward because the all except the eletrical part can oil in the dishwasher, so it is almost hands free level of cleaning. I don't know how the filtering system works, but there is no rancid odor left over multiple frying uses. It's a decent sized fryer that can fry a large amount of food. The basket can also hold a large amount of food and by lowering the contents into the oil, you avoid splashing. Overall, it's a good product but expensive

I purchased this for my husband's Father's Day gift about 4 years ago and we just love it! We use it for our "deep fry" parties at the campground and love how much it holds at one time and how fast and high it heats up. We have more fun finding foods we can deep fry and have never had a problem with the machine.

A good fryer that fries to perfection. We've made donuts, fried pickles, chicken wings, fried vegetables, etc. I like the strainer basket and timer, which ensures you don't overcook. The oil storage is a nice perk for sure, but it's difficult to get the hang of it. It has leaked on my husband a few times. He said it's due to his human error of putting in too much oil, but it's difficult to see exactly how much (or little) to put in to avoid spillage. I would recommend sitting it on the kitchen counter overnight after use to ensure it doesn't leak in the cabinet where you store it. Overall a great purchase. Frying nights are a fun night in our house... I would definitely recommend fried jalapenos!

It is so easy to get that extra crispy chicken that you could only have dreamed about. This is the best fryer for cooking for small to large groups. My friend were really impressed with this fryer that my friend bought one for herself. Once the fryer reaches the desired temperature the thermostat maintains the oil at that temperature. There is a timer so you will never over cook your food. There is also a built in strainer and storage area which is a huge bonus. The oil is very clean once you strain it, almost like new. This fryer really is amazing, I can't think of any flaws at all. I wish I could give this product 6 stars instead of 5! I love to buy frozen chicken wings and cooking then is a snap, just pop them in the correct temperature, time it and your done, all you have to do is pop them into your sauce and you get the most crispy and tender wings you could only imagine. Fried chicken is also a snap. I highly recommend this product.

I recieved the Emeril T Fal for Christmas and it is the best fryer I have ever had.  It has four temperature settings and has a ready light when the correct temperature is reached.  It has a basket to remove the food easily and a timer that you can set, which beeps loudly when done.  It also comes with a cover so grease doesnt splatter all over the counter.   When you are done using it, you simply unplug and turn the dial to filter.  The oil will automatically filter into a removable storage containter below.   Except for the heating element which is easily cleaned in sink, every other piece is dishwasher safe.  I hate dealing with a greasy mess and this is a wonderful benefit!  You will have to wash it over two separate loads if you wash every piece.  Usually I only need to wash the basket and frying bucket.  About every six usues I will wash the rest of the pieces. It is large enough to hold quite a bit of food and with its stainless steel exterior looks nice on the kitchen counter.  I would recommend this product to all my friends and family!!
