Elliot House was the perfect place for my daughter and I to spend a w/e away together. Breakfast served in our room every morning made it special, the wine and cheese was a delight in the afternoon and the location was perfect walking to shop to stroll south of Broad. It also sits between two wonderful and charming restaurants. The staff was very friendly and the place was clean, despite the age, everything was in good condition and charming. The rooms are not large and the only drawback would be if you were caught on a long rainy spell...not a lot of protected common area or space in…

The hotel itself was great, we had a lot of fun. The only thing I didn't like was finding Roaches every where we went. This is in Charleston as a whole not just the hotel. I didn't expect to find any at the hotel though, but they were all over the place. The Elliott House was really old, but we really enjoyed the stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in a really nice area but there wasn't much dinning options at the hotel itself. Over all we had a great experiance and I would say that we would return again in the future to the same hotel.Shopping: Short…

Excellent location and a good environment. The room is probably ready for a remodeling as there was a water leak from the ac upstairs. The continental breakfast wasn't much but they gave the option of having it delivered to your room or served in the courtyard, which was nice. The courtyard was very attractive and the wine and cheese reception a very nice touch. Parking was limited to a public garage across the street which was a little expensive but very convenient. Overall, we had a very nice stay.Recreational Attactions: Short Drive, The aquarium and IMax theater are w/in a short drive.…

Excellent hotel. Wine and cheese every day from 5:00-6:00 PM, was excellent. Very neat historic area of Charleston. The only bummer was there is no hotel parking lot. Parking garage was expensive, we were charged when our car was garaged and esp. every time we left the garage and returned.Dining: Long Walk, Excellent dining places for lunch and dinner. We recommend High Cotton on East Bay Street. Appox. one mile or less from hotel. Excellent food with jazz vocal entertainment. you might call ahead for a reservation. —…

The staff was friendly & helpful.Shopping: Short Walk, Great shopping & restaurants from a block to 4 blocks away, including a wonderful restaurant next door. —…

I liked that most of the restaurants and sites of interest were within walking distance.Dining: Short Walk, Next door to the Inn is in my opinion one of the best restaurants in the historic district of charleston, 82 queen st. serves everything from 5 star dinning to lowcountry favorites. —…

The staff at Elliott House Inn was very friendly and prompt. Really enjoyed breakfast delivered to room each morning with daily newspaper. The room was clean and furnished with antiques. Would have liked internet access in rooms, picked up spotty access from nearby accommodations. Would recommend to others and plan to stay there again.Dining: Short Walk, Great location, only short walk to dinning, shopping, entertainment. Bicycles provided by the Inn for those staying with them. —…
