I've been thru MANY different drugs for depression, and if there is a side effect, I would have it. Strattera, added to my Zoloft, has been remarkable. I feel more stable, without a series of side effects. I've been on it for 2 months now. It's not a stimulant, but does help with energy levels, so often associated with depression.
I've been on wellbutrin for clinical major depression (serious drug history) and was prescribed STRATTERA by my Dr. I was taken aback, not considering myself ADD - though I suppose it fits. Well let me tell you people ~ I feel more like myself these days. I am focused, thus able to accomplish most all of what needs to be done in a day - and I'm a Ft student and single mom. This drug is like most: some work better for others, they do not all have the same results for everbody. I haven't experienced any side effects, and I take 40 mg. daily. review »As a female adult with ADHD, my primary physician first tried to treat my symptoms with Strattera. After six months on this drug, I was taken off by a psychiatrist who informed me that this drug is largely ineffective in adults. I guess it's just another reason why psychiatrists are better for treating ADHD. I found the side effects to be terrible, and worse than stimulants. Dry mouth, headaches, dizziness, etc.
