Eli Lilly Strattera —

As a female adult with ADHD, my primary physician first tried to treat my symptoms with Strattera. After six months on this drug, I was taken off by a psychiatrist who informed me that this drug is largely ineffective in adults. I guess it's just another reason why psychiatrists are better for treating ADHD. I found the side effects to be terrible, and worse than stimulants. Dry mouth, headaches, dizziness, etc.

That said, I am not a doctor, nor am I psychiatrist but I have had personal experience with this medication. Additionally, I have heard some positive feedback from parents whose children are on Strattera. If it has benefit for children, then that is wonderful. For adults, however, it's a different story. As always, it's important to speak with your doctor if you have any questions about this medication, as well as any other medications you may be taking. I look forward to hearing other stories from adults regarding this medication.
