Elephant Bar - Oklahoma City, OK —

When the Elephant Bar first opened here in OKC, I was very excited. I am always interested in trying new places, especially ones I am not familiar with, which was the case for this restaurant. After they opened, they were always extremely busy, so, taking that as a good sign, I was even more excited to try it. We went about 2 months after they 1st opened, and went with a few other family members from out of town. We were quoted as an hour wait time, but it was almost 2 hours before we were seated, and we never even received a sorry or anything, even after asking how much longer. We were crammed into a small booth, and there we waited another 15 minutes just to meet our server. To make a long story short, we finally got our food after another hour wait to have some of the entree's cold, as they were obviously all prepared at the same time, even though some took longer. My husband got burnt bread on his club, my bread on my sandwich was completely disentegrated from sitting so long in the juice from the philly steak, so it was unedible. Only 1 of us was satisfied with the meal. We had to wait another 30 minutes for a member of management to meet with us. The staff was very unprofessional throughout the whole ordeal. I tried to be as understanding as possible since they were very busy and still a new business, but there are limits. Me, and the others I dined with, kept our cool and was as polite as could be. I will usually give a restaurant, store, or whatever, a second chance, but this situation was so bad that I don't think I would return if someone offered to pay for my lunch or dinner here.
