a homeowner, picking up after pets
We recieved this vacuum for Christmas from my mom who purchased it because we have a lot of stairs and I am constantly wrestling a large vacuum to get all the dog hair off of them. This vacuum doesn't really excell on stairs or long carpet but I love it anyway. We have quite a bit of Pergo flooring upstairs and short pile rugs in the walkway and kitchen so this is perfect for those. I keep it plugged in, in the broom closet and it's always ready for use. Also, the filters are really easy to manage and clean...it comes with extras but they are washable so about once a…

WHY WE NEEDED A VACUUM — — We just moved into our first two-story house and needed a vacuum that would solve two issues: — — 1) We needed a vacuum that would work well on stairs--something that was light enough and that also had enough suction (we tried using our full-size vacuum and it was a laughable effort). — — 2) We had quite a bit more vinyl, hardwood, and tile in the new house, and even though our old vacuum has a "hard floor" setting, it just didn't cut it. — — CONDITIONS FOR PURCHASE — — We also had conditions for…

Because of the Electrolux name, I took a chance on purchasing the model in a refurbished condition for the big discount in price. The vacuum works well, and the cordless convenience is great. — I bought the vacuum for quick jobs because my kitchen floor seems to be continually in need of cleaning. While the Pronto picks run-of-the mill dirt well on hard floors (I have concrete and hardwoods), my guess is that carpet cleaning may be a little more difficult. — I…

I purchased the Electrolux Pronto mainly looking for something lightweight and cordless to pick up kid messes in the kitchen, i.e. crumbs, cereal. Most of everything I tried to vacuum up ended up pushed around the floor. Everything had to be pretty miniscule in order for this vac to pick up. Now the removable handheld vac is another story. That was awesome, it would pretty much pick up any cereal size crumbs and debris. Only thing is, I'm not looking for a vacuum that I have to be hunched over on the floor to pick everything up. It's going back to the store and I'm going to continue my…
