Egea - - Evanston, IL Review

I recently moved to Evanston and am just starting to try local businesses in the area. I have been in Chicago for so long that I have had my "standby" spots for everything.  I like trying new places and decided to go to a spa that specializes in all-natural products. I am trying to do more environmentally friendly things in all aspects of life and this seemed like a good thing to add to the list. 

I really enjoyed the spa and the staff. I got a facial and a pedicure while I was there on the second to last Sunday in September.  I was going to have make-up done afterwords but my facialist said I would probably not love the Bare Minerals products because they were all powder. I saved time because she was honest but still spent extra money on the great facial cleanser she used on me during the facial.  I really love it and can tell a difference in my skin this week. 

 The pedicure was great because there was no formaldehyde in any of the products. Also, they have massage chairs that had many options for different areas of your back.

 I will definitely go back to Egea in Evanston.

Location/Parking
EGEA is conveniently located on Chicago's beautiful North Shore, at the Southeast corner of Sherman and Grove in downtown Evanston. Ample street parking (2 hr. limit) is available. There is also an adjacent parking lot just south of our location on Sherman Avenue.

Reservations/Cancellation Policy
Phones are open seven days a week. VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover reserve all spa appointments. A 24 hour cancellation notice will avoid being charged a service fee.

Spa Etiquette
EGEA Spa is smoke and cellular phone free for a healthy and relaxing environment. For safety reasons children are only allowed in the reception area and must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.

What To Expect
Arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment to check in, relax and prepare for services. Private lockers are provided. EGEA can not be responsible for valuables i.e. jewelry, cash, etc. Please communicate any concerns, questions or special needs to your therapist. If you are unsure of a service or benefit, please do not hesitate to ask. Throughout your body treatments you are discreetly covered. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
