Bottom-Line: I am sold on Edy's Slow Churned Light Ice Cream, so much so that I will not purchase any other brand.  — I like ice cream!  And to my palate seasons as it has been be world travel, the best ice cream is to be had in the United States.  And one of the best store bought ice creams on the market is Edy's manufactured by Nestle.  Yes, I know Nestle is a Swiss company, but the ice cream is manufactured here.  — When I was diagnosed with Type II diabetes I thought my ice cream eating days were over.  Needless to say I was profoundly sad, but… read full review »

I love ice cream, but I am always looking to find a healthier variety, and Edy's wins with this line of desserts.  So many light ice creams are packed with artificial ingredients or lose their taste with the calories, not Edy's.  Edy's Slow Churned ice cream is thick and creamy and tastes like the full fat varieties only it is good for you.  Each of the slow churned delights is made with 1/2 the fat, 1/3 the amount of calories, and the rich, decadent flavor of regular ice cream.  This healthier version is definitely great.  Each flavor is smooth and creamy and every… read full review »

I don't eat this ice cream because it's lower in calories, I eat it because it tastes GREAT!  Plain vanilla is the best, to me.  It reminds me of the homemade ice cream my grandparents use to churn on the back pation when I was a little girl. — It's creamy, not as hard as other ice cream, and has a made from scratch taste.  I love ALL ice cream, don't get me wrong.  I'm something of a connossieur, being that I would eat it all day long, every day, if I could get away with it!  But Edy's Slow Churned is simple, and not too heavy.  It's great on a hot… read full review »

I love the Edy's Slow Churned Ice Creams; they taste just as good as the regular full fat ice cream. — — My two current favorites are theTake The Cake and the Pumpkin varieties. — — Take The Cake taste just like yellow cake, with "confetti" and swirls of frosting blended in. Who needs cake when you can get it in your ice cream? This is my favorite flavor. — — My second favorite is the limited edition Pumpkin; with some Reddi Whip topping on it, it is a healthier alternative to traditional pumpkin pie, and in my opinion, taste a lot better! My only… read full review »

We all like ice cream, i during the summer. Unfortunately most of brands are either really bad for us (loaded with sugar, fat and artificial colorings) or taste like frozen soft drink (no creaminess...) and still are not really healthy (artificial sweeteners etc,) I don't think I could tell the difference between the regular and the light Edy's. They are both really creamy and rich but light contain much less fat and calories. They are a perfect little dessert for a hot summer… read full review »

Edy's slow churned ice cream is so creamy and tasty it is even better than the full fat version.  I can't keep it in the freezer.  We always enjoyed ice cream on occasion, but with Edy's slow churned, no guilt icream it is always disappearing.  They have many different flavors and the fact that it is healthier, makes it hard to… read full review »

This is the best light ice cream I've found, and I've tried a few.  After eating this, you won't want the 'greasy' taste of regular ice cream.  Lots of flavors to choose from and it's frequently on sale at my grocery store.  The best part is..  you can eat twice as much for the same fat/calories. (just kidding... maybe!) —… read full review »

There is something about the slow churning process that makes this ice cream so thick and creamy. It's almost too good, because I can never stick to what they call a serving size - 1/2 cup. The flavors I'd recommend are cookies and cream, and peanut butter cup. Both are phenomenal. —… read full review »
