Keep Kids Away from Computers

It seems there is no link between our kids and computers, actually there is and it's serious once we put them together. For some computer users, especially who have been dad or mum, they have to work and take care of kids at the same time, so they keep their kids in the room. The kids staying beside computers will bring some trouble. Here I take myself for example.

I'm a teacher, also a papa of a 7-year old boy, likes to play computer games. I remember one weekend when my son Peter was 2-year old, my wife Linda went out for shopping, so I took care of the little kid. I put the kid in the room, and played a computer game with Coca Cola on the side of the keyboard. I'm so concentrated in the game that I had no awareness that Pater tried to seize the drink until he put the bottle down and the liquid poured into my poor input device. What had happened scared me, I still remeber I just jumped from the chair and cut the power of the computer immediately. Nothing serious continued, but for me, I hope I would have never let my boy into the room when playing computer.

Cutting power to computer is the best solution, what if any electronic device with gaps in it that liquid can seep into, including remotes, notebook computers, and PDAs. If the liquid shorts something, the device can be permanently damaged.

Maybe someone will think, I never put drink or tea beside the computer, and it doesn't matter to let the kid come into the room, even I can teach my kid to use computer. It happened to me again. When Peter was 5 years old, I always tried to teach him with some advanced knowledge, including computer. The young boy could seize the knowledge quickly, and operate the computer independently, so I admitted him to play the computer. One day the boy read the photos of my old home with me, and he wanted to try something fresh after I went out, he clicked "Format" on partition. After that he went into the folder and wanted to see what happened, only to find nothing left. The boy was petrified, because the photos were precious for our family, he just busted into tears. I went into the room and asked, after the boy told what she had done, I realized what happened, "it doesn't matter, they are just deleted by you, and I can restore them with EASEUS Data Recovery Wizard. Here I will show you how to recover them." So the boy stopped crying. I told myself it was so lucky there was data recovery software.

Using recovery application is a good solution, but for those who have no such software, things will be worse. Even you let kids in the room, just stay by side.

Just keep your kids away from computers; it will be nice for your kids, and your computers.

Hmm well.  I just think I will watch my kids around computers but not about to keep them away.  My nephew has been recognizing letters and knows where they are on the keyboard and he's only 2.  I think it's highly beneficial in this day to get kids to learn these things ASAP, and that includes making sure they know what NOT to do around a computer.

I think computers can be a great learning tool.  But only if the parents are present.  I think teenagers left alone wit computers are a great mistake.  I believe there is just to much info out there in the computer world that teens just dont need to be a part of.  I think the worst thing that was ever born out of the computer world is craigs list, my space, and facebook.  If I had teenagers these sites would be banned and no child of mine in my home would be able to access them.

Parents have to monitor there children.  The world will be a better place.
