I'm an alum of the The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. It's a great school from an academic perspective but it lacked on the social and networking fronts. Review to come soon. What school did you go to and why?

I am an alumni of Sinclair Community College (my associates degree) and then the University of Dayton.  It's a great school, but private, expensive and Catholic. Not many scholarship opportunities unless you excel above an beyond all others!  The Catholic element is very strong, but yet you can also avoid it if you are not.  I was a single parent working and going to school, but still enjoyed an active social life there but admit that many of the faculty didn't quite know what to do with someone who was an adult student.

I went to Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. Private, Catholic college. It was/is a converted high school campus and experienced lots of growing pains during my time there. I liked the staff, my classes, and the smaller environment, but I was paying a lot of money ($25,000 per year at the time) for what seemed to be a mediocre education and experience. I still owe $14,000 in student loans and am kicking myself for not going to the community college for free (with my GPA) first.

My undergrad degree is from Randolph-Macon Woman's College.  It was a small, private college that was a great choice for me BUT, I say "was," because it has now went co-ed as Randolph College.  I also went to UNCG for grad. school.  Maybe I didn't the lack of social Meredith because I was working three jobs. lol

I'm an Ottawa University alumna, but my FAVORITE college is a tie between K-State (Call Hall Ice Cream + the Derby Bakery) and KU (2008 NCAA Bball champs + liberal campus). I've been to both, but somehow I ended up at Ottawa.

I can't wait to return for grad school some day!

Washington state University.  For both the business program, and the ability to stay within the state.  GO COUGS!  :)

I didn't go. I was too busy playing music, partying, and bustin @$$ in the oil field to worry about college. I did go to tech school 10 years after high school though.

I've already reviewed my alma mater: Northwestern University. I went to NU for a few reasons:

- reputation/alumni network (not ashamed to admit it, but I promise I'm not vain)
- education
- swimming
- scholarship
- location, location, location

GO CATS. :) I love NU.

My last school (I went to a few:) was Boston University School of Social Work because it was the closest one to where I lived at the time.

I attended the Air Force Academy for my undergrad.  It was every bit the experience you hear about.  I loved it!  I was challenged and shaped in so many different ways.  I did so much more there than I think I would have at a less restictive school.  I worked (wasn't supposed to, so don't tell anyone) at the Urban League in Colorado Springs the summer before senior year and coordinated programs and projects for local youth.  I was invited as keynote speaker for several organizations and at a local high school.  I had my own campus radio show.  I was part of a rap group, we cut our own CD from scratch in a dorm room.  I held leadership positions at every level of student/military leadership.  Still, the only reason I graduated is because I was pushed off a 10-meter tower.

I later attended the Naval Postgraduate School.  The biggest motivation for going was that I didn't want to have to try and balance work, school, and family like so many others I'd seen.  That's tough and I have great respect for anyone who does that and graduates, no matter what your GPA is.

If you haven't noticed, all my higher education so far has come from military schools.  What you won't notice until I tell you is that all my higher education is paid off.  That's one of the greatest things about those schools and the structure.  I can't say that I have any disposable income as a result of going to either school, but i have a LOT less debt.

My nephew just picked a college (Bloomsberg University) and I sent them a link to the reviews of his school here on Viewpoints. They were mostly positive reviews too !

I have reviewed every school each kids went to including one medical school. My last school was B.U (Yup the Craigslist killer) in the School of Social Work. It was as convenient as any of them. There aren't many schools that offer MSWs. It was too long ago to review but we have Bentley University (It used to be College - I guess you should change the name??); Emory in Atlanta, UPenn, NYU, and UMass Medical School. My husband graduated from U of Florida, Gainsville.

I went to U of M Dearborn b/c I really had 2 choices - U of M Dearborn or Henry Ford :-D  It is one of the top engineering schools in the country and I went there for Computer Science which is close enough :)  It was local - no need for dorms, and before I go on and on, I aready reviewed it so just read this :)
