Edible Arrangements —

This past month my dad has been really ill and received lots of help from friends.  In an effort to pass along his thanks, I sent several thank you bouquets to those friends from Edible Arrangements.  Flowers are nice but they seem like a waste so we thought something consumable, yet somewhat healthy, would be a nice alternative.

About Edible Arrangements
Edible Arrangements was founded in 1999.  They specialize in making bouquets not from flowers but from fresh fruit such as, pineapple, bananas, melons, grapes, oranges, apples, and strawberries.  The arrangements are guaranteed to arrive fresh and come in many different sizes, styles, and price ranges to fit any occasion.  The fruit ingredients are fresh and natural and contain no added preservatives or sweeteners.  Customers can order in the store, online, or via the telephone.

The website
EdibleArrangements.com is a delight for the eye.  My mouth waters just looking at all of the colorful arrangements for any holiday or occasion that comes to mind.  The arrangements look much like flower arrangements in that the fruit is skewered and then artistically arranged in a vase, pot, mug or other container.  Some fruits are skewered alone (for example, one berry on a skewer) but some are more elaborate and contain multiple fruits on one skewer.  They are so creative!

All of the arrangements are stunning and look very tempting and delicious.  Customers can also choose arrangements that contain chocolate-dipped fruits and marshmallows or just plain boxes full of chocolate-dipped apples, oranges, or strawberries.

I could have gone into the retail store to purchase the arrangements that I sent out but I'm busy and prefer to do things online so I used the Edible Arrangements online service instead.  I selected the arrangements I wished to send, then selected the retail location nearest to the delivery address, selected the delivery date, paid, and that was all.  I received a confirmation email with my order details and also had the option of tracking delivery online.  It really could not have been easier.  All of the arrangements were delivered on the day I specified and I'm told that they were stunning and delicious.  Each of the recipients was very pleased with their gift.

There only issue I have with the website is that all of the arrangements are shown in the large size so they are huge and beautiful.  But there is nothing on the site to indicate the size of the small and medium arrangements. For example, one of the items I ordered was the Sweetheart Bouquet which is a bouquet of chocolate covered strawberries.  I ordered it in medium but I have no idea how many strawberries are included in that size because only the large bouquet is pictured.  I did call the store after the fact and the sales associate informed me that the small bouquet has 18-22 strawberries but that information really should be on the website.

Edible Arrangements are a fun and unique alternative to flowers.  They are beautiful, edible, and really fun to give for any occasion.  The chocolate covered strawberry bouquet would be especially nice for a romantic occasion like Sweetest Day, Valentine's Day, or as part of a marriage proposal.

I have never heard of edible arrangements ever until last month for my birthday my friends got me a fruit arrangement delivered to my workplace. It was such a hit! We had an amazing time eating the fruit snacks at lunch. Its definitely a great present. Flowers are nice but they always die. At least with food there's a better purpose.

Very nice review! One of these has opened up near us and they have dropped off brochures at area businesses. I thought the concept was very cool and as you said a nice change from flowers. Glad to hear they deliver on their promises. -Rob
