Edgewater - Laughlin, NV —

When I chose this hotel online, I was looking for something that was scenic along the Colorado River, easily accesible to the many entertainment options in Laughlin, and most importantly, was within my budget!  Safe to say, this hotel met all 3.  The bad thing was that the valet area didn't seem well attended, so I decided to self park, and it's a little bit of a walk to the hotel lobby.  But once I got there, I was amazed.  It was beautiful scenery in this hotel casino, definitely more of a southwest feel.  The wait to the check-in counter wasn't long, though I did get there at 4pm, but it was nice to get there quick and get a room!  For $56 for 2 nights, I got one heck of a deal!  I've stayed at hotels that cost more than twice that and wasn't impressed, but this was amazing!  Huge king size bed, plenty of room to relax and stretch out.  Plenty of bath towels and clean sheets, though you'd demand that from most motels anyway.  Not to mention the room was very close to the casino floor, pool, and gift shop!  The air conditioning worked great too, a necessity in a desert area such as this.  All in all, a great experience, something you'd expect if you stayed at a resort that charged 2 or 3 times as much, and yet I saved a lot of money!  Of course, the casino probably made it back from me through the buffet and video poker machines lol.
