Great heater! Performance I've had my Eden Pure for a little over 5 years now. I normally heat with propane and live in the northeast with cold winters. I especially like using it in Fall and Spring when I hate to turn the furnace on. I run my heater 24/7 in the winter-even when not home. I admit that overall my heating bills are about the same but my house is warmer for the same price. I like that there isn't that difference of hot/cold when furnace is on or off. It says that it heats 1,000 sq ft but I think more like 400. I now have another one for the other end of my house/bedroom area. You do have to watch which outlet you use so doesn't flip breaker if on with another big appliance.(I couldn't have both heaters plugged into outlets on same breaker) Ease of Use Easy on/off and also has remote. I really never adjust temperature control-always on high if on. Filter is also very easy to remove and clean. Durability So far still working after 5yrs! Design Pleasant looking. I have pictures and candles on top of it like I would on a table. Safety No chance of burning yourself unless you put your fingers in it. I leave running even when I'm not home. I do turn off if leaving more than just the day.

I absolutely love my EdenPURE GEN4 1000 Quartz Infrared Portable Heater. I have one of these in my kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom. It's very convenient for me to use these heaters rather than having to use more oil. They definitely cut down on costs. Performance This product always keeps my rooms warm. It is also very reliable. I never had any problems with it being too hot or too cool when using it. Ease of Use This is very easy to use. When I have friends over, they are all able to figure out how to use the EdenPURE without too many instructions. Durability In the past, I moved the EdenPURE from room to room, and I never had any problems with anything breaking on the product. Design This looks sleek enough to leave out within your home. You don't have to worry about keeping it hidden behind furniture. Safety The EdenPURE seems to be safe. I never had any problem with overheating. I would be hesitant to leave the heaters on if I was not home, but while I am home, I sometimes have heaters on in rooms that I am not in.

We have had an Eden Pure Gen 3 1000 which we have used daily for years and we love it!! So we decided to buy another one for another area of our home. We decided to go with this newer model, the Gen 4 1000. We liked the look of it when we took it out of the box. From the first time we used it we knew this heater was bad news!! It got hot to the touch. That is NOT suppose to happen. Then we noticed that it did not heat the room as our older model does. We tried it in different rooms and in different size rooms. It didn't even heat up our small bathroom. After trying it in different situations the result was always the same. Hot to the touch and DOES NOT HEAT the room. We were VERY DISSAPPOINTED!!! Customer service was not willing to work with us at all. We actually wanted to have a new one sent to us to see if it was our unit. They were not willing to send a replacement so we just returned it for a refund which we did get. Performance Performed POORLY, actually did NOT perform!! Ease of Use It was easy to use. Durability Cant be durable when it doesn't do its job. Design Horrible. Safety Not safe when it gets hot on the outside.

We bought this unit Christmas of 2011. Worked great for about 4 months, then started blowing cold air. Returned it to the place where it was bought and they replaced it with another unit. 12 months later, it's blowing warm air and now just cold.

We received this heater as a gift, so I do not know the actual price paid. However, it has been a great help in the winter! It is just my husband and I in our home, so instead of our central heating working to heat up every room, we just take the GEN4 into whichever room we are occupying. It has helped bring down our electric bill in the winter months. Performance Warms up a small room in about 20 minutes. You can sit in front of it and immediately feel warm. Ease of Use Super easy to use. Plug in and turn on. Durability This thing has lasted us 4 years so far with no issues. We haven't banged it around much but it seems pretty durable. Design I wish that the heater oscillated or turn directions. I also wish that it had an attached piece to the vent that would allow a change in direction of the airflow. It only flows out directly straight from the level of the heater, which is about 2 feet. So if you want it to blow down at your feet or up to fill the room, it does not do that well. Safety I wouldn't recommend sticking your fingers inside of the heater, but I have sat directly in front of the heater and my skin has become very hot but never burned. It seems pretty safe, we don't worry about it causing a fire.

We heat with both gas and electric and were looking into getting something to heat with that would reduce the bills and be safe to use.  We started doing some research and by far the EdenPURE seemed to be the best. We read that it is one of the safest space heaters on the market and we read it can lower your heating bill--> in some cases the savings may be substantial. So a few months ago we got a EdenPURE Gen-4. I thought the price was kind of high, but if it worked as well as they said it did and saved on the heating bills the way they said it would, then it was well worth the price. It is a pretty little heater, and it only gets a little warm on the outside. It really seems safe enough to have with pets & children in the house, I don't see how anything could get burned. It's really easy to use, even has a remote control..  And it works Great, makes you feel so warm, the EdenPURE heat's the room evenly, There are no cold spots in the room with this heating system. It is a Wonderful Heater. But the part of lowering the cost of heating.. Wow our heating bill doubled!!! That's why I wanted to do this review.. to let people know before they buy.. YES it does a great job of heating the room, it's clean, and has very little sound to it, and seems to be very safe, It really is everything you would want in a heater. The only thing I don't like about it, is the change in the heating bill, it didn't go down, it went up! But the warmth it provides makes it worth it, I think anyone who get's this heater will love it. yes I would recommend it to a friend... Performance My Eden Pure is still doing a great Job! On Bob Vila's advice/reputation,and the 60 day return guaranteed, I ordered 3 edenpure heaters, promised to be delivered in 2 weeks. After 2 weeks I called customer service. No record of the order. I placed another order, promised 2 weeks delivery. Two months later no heaters, then 6 heaters showed up. I tried to return 3 of the heaters (all 6 were charged to my credit card, and they did not have authority to charge more than 3) using their instructions (they are delivered via UPS to your door, but to return without a charge, they have to be taken to a UPS store). Edenpure (actually they are sold by BIORESEARCH, and they have been bombarding me with junk mail since they got my address on New Years Eve when I placed the first order) says only 2 of the heaters were returned, and refuses to reimburse me for the 3rd heater that we didn't order, and we returned at the UPS store. I tried to voice my concerns to Bob Vila, but the "contact us" button on his website does not work. Funny, eh? I think he'd like to know that his reputation is about to go down the drain with the Edenpure name. I would not make this purchase again, and will probably return all 6 heaters. The weather has gotten warm so I have no idea if they truly work as promised. Going on the rest of my experience with this company, I have my doubts.

buy it, especially if you have pets Performance It is nice and quiet, we have it on a glassed in sunroom that doesn't have heat ducts, with this set on the 3rd setting the room stays lovely and warm. Tha amazing thing is the whole room is consistently warm every where Design I just looks like a little black box, but isn't ugly so I don't mind. Safety I have no worries about my new kitten jumping on it, it stays very cool and no hot air or anything harmful.

I bought four eden pure gen 4's, One is luckily still working well. The other three had to be sent back due to inoperability, Two broke after one or two weeks. Dealing the with their customer service was a nightmare. When they sent me a new on me on an exchange, i plugged it in after taking it out of the box and it didnt even work, It took me another two weeks to get a label to send it back. Buying the Eden Pure heaters rather than a bless turned out to be a horrible burden. Robert Hargrove

Go buy a cheap one so you won't feel bad when it quits. If it's like an deenpure it will only last a couple months. Three strikes and your out. We are now facing the third chance they have to get us a good one. Won't happen as they are made in CHINA. Will have half the price of a cheap one in it with the UPS charges. Reputable company after the first tiem would send for it at no charge. SAVE THE BOX IT COMES IN as it is required to send it back. They are aTOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT FOR A COMPANY. I guess Bob Villa can be bought too.
