Eden Pure Quartz Infrared Portable Heater Review

We purchased one of the 1000 EdenPure heaters when they first came out.  We have been very happy with it although we have not purchased a lot of portable heaters.  We do like it better than the Delonghi portable heater we used to have.  Now you have to understand why we felt the need for one.  We heat our 1400 sf home with a pellet stove.  It doesn't get the heat to all the rooms.  Therefore, when we do want more heat in one of the back bedrooms or our add on sunroom or converted garage weight room, we just roll the heater there and flip it on.  It heats very quickly like a little portable furnace.  It doesn't get hot, in fact I can set a plant on top of it and it doesn't bother it.  I feel it is very safe to have around my grandchildren.  We do not have a huge noticeable increase in our electric bill when we use the heater.  We also feel it's a very comfortable, yet healthy heat.  We are very familiar with how infrared works, heating the objects in the room, rather than just the room as we also have an infrared sauna.  This experience helped our decision in purchasing the EdenPure infrared heater.  Also, least I forget, we have indoor dogs and I never worry about the heater around them.  And because I can choose where I want it, I don't worry about curtains, blankets, the pets toys etc.  We would personally recommend one of these heaters to anyone who asked us, in fact we did, but our friends got the newer one and there's is much quietier than ours, although the hum of the heater doesn't other us as are used to hearing the pellet stove running.Deb & Shel, Boring, OR
