Eddie Bauer Soothing Comfort Bouncenette —

Thank goodness I didn't pay full price for this! I bought it from an acquaintance who I probably will avoid now. This "bouncerette"(isn't that cute?), is almost useless.

First off, it is small, only a very new baby could fit. But a new baby would flop all around because there is no back support, and the child clips in far down. The back itself is hard and despite the pad, does not cradle the baby in any way. There are only two positions, almost flat and flatter. Again, as there is no head or back support, the baby WILL flop around and get there face smushed against the side. Of course an older baby would have more control and possibly be safe, but wait, an older baby can't fit!

The vibration is silly as it only really vibrates towards the feet. The nature sounds are just noise, really bad and then the birds start chirping, and it is not relaxing. It is more like startling.

SO please do not buy this, you will waste your money. I am out only 10 bucks and i am still really annoyed. I don't even want to donate this as I don't think it is safe for those it is intended for. (My 9 week old is really too big for it and she flops over to the side and her head/face is against the side.)

Oh it has a net that you zip around so when you are outside the bugs won't get the baby. But I truly can not see anyone  packing this along on a camping trip.

I still need a bouncy seat!

At least you didn't pay for it! Thanks for reading my review!

I completely agree with you, and I was gievn mine free.. now I know why! My daughter is 14 weeks old, and cannot sit in it anymore. She's too big for the thing, and she was a premie! Also, when I first got it, it was more up right, but I guess my baby's weight (the whole 12lbs) is too heavy for it, and it now sort-of sags... it's much lower to the ground. I feel like if she bounces, her but is going to hit the floor!!

I may have been a bit harsh, but I really wanted people to know that this thing isn't all it's hyped up to be. Perhaps it would work for a new baby if it was in the flattest position and your babe wasn't a wiggler. Both my kids are/were very active movers. I have read were some people actually like this thing so it must work for some babies. thanks for the comment.

Yikes! What were they thinking when they designed this one?!!!
