Overall I have been disappointed with all the Eddie Bauer products I bought for my first child. This high chair has remained pretty sturdy over the past couple years. It wobbles just a little but it probably just needs tightened. I wish I could say the same for the finish. Its a dark finish that started chipping after just a couple months of normal use. Its also not the most comfortable seat for little ones just starting out because they still hit their heads on the wood. Then once they get bigger its really hard to get them in and out of this chair. The pad that came on the chair was a joke! after just a couple uses it wouldn't stay in place even though it was hooked in properly. It just flopped over and kept getting in the way so I ended up tossing it. The top of the tray in removable which I thought I would like but it ended up being a pain because food kept getting in the crack between the trays so you have to take it apart and clean under it too. What a disappointment! I expected more from this brand!!

I have 4 children, and this is my 3rd high chair. I usually go for the cheaper all plastic chairs but this time I wanted I wanted a nice wooden one that matched my new dining room table and chairs. This one is so beautiful and matches my cherry wood table nicely. I have the tall style table and chairs and this high chair is the perfect height to sit with the family while the tray is off. There is a cubby (about the size of a shoebox) under the seat that is perfect for storing bibs, wipes, and/or baby utensils. The soft cushion is removable and machine washable. The only problem that I have had with this chair is that the seatbelt is not of great quality, which is dissapointing given that I paid a lot for this chair and expected the best from this company. But, all in all I love it and would have given 5 stars if it were not for the seatbelt.

Yes, I am one of those parents that fell for the beauty of this highchair and did not consider the function that a highchair needs to have.  I wanted one that looked like the rest of our furniture, which this one does.  When we first bought it it was a beautiful dark stained wood and was very attractive for ":baby furniture".  I couldn't see me with a plastic chair in my fancy dining room.  However, I have learned there are negatives to this beauty.  The food gets stuck onto the stain and it is very hard to clean.  you cannot use an abrasive sponge or cleaner of the finish will chip right off. The feeding tray is a bit on the smaller side.  My child doesn't have enough space to spread her food out so a lot of it ends up on the floor.  The cushion, well if you want to even call it that since it's so thin, cannot be comfortable for my child.  I find it doesn't stay straight and it tends to fold down and colapse onto itself since it only is affixed to the chair on the sides and not the top.  But it is a nice looking chair just not practical.

I was given this highchair by my parents. I absolutely love it. It is not only functional, its pretty. One thing I liked is it was easy and inexpensive to have a local seamstress make an extra seat cover, so when one is dirty, easily switch them. I like the wider base so the chair is VERY sturdy, and the tray is easy to clean. Eddie Bauer has definately combined class and style with functionality.

I have been using my Eddie Bauer high chair for a little over 2 1/2 years.  Both of my daughters have used it and we have been very pleased with it.  I originally bought it used, but it had only been used 1 year, so it was in near perfect condition.  I wanted something that didn't look so tacky in my dining area as most of my household items are solid oak antiques, but I also wanted something safe, so we decided to buy this high chair.  It is very easy to remove the tray for washing and it cleans up well.  The only drawback we have found is that it shows food very easily because of the dark color.  If I were to buy this high chair again, I would buy it in the lighter color in order to save some sanity with cleaning it.  We do not use the padded chair cover that came with it.  It seems to get too dirty and I don't want to be washing it all the time.  Neither daughter seemed to care that the chair was not padded.  Overall, I love the high chair and would buy it again.

This high chair was an easy aesthetic choice.  It's beautiful and easily fits into an adults aesthetic values.  However, it isn't overly comfortable as there is not contour at all and it is ridiculous to clean.  The many wood slate create way too many nooks and crannies to have to clean in.  This has really been a bit of a thorn in my side and I really wish we would have purchased a different high chair.

I was given this Eddie Bauer high chair when I was pregnant with my first child. It has now gone through two children now and is still going strong! It is very sturdy and very appealing to look at. The tray comes off easily and is easy to clean. The tray also has a top layer that comes off to make it deeper, which is nice for when the my boys started feeding themselves. The padding comes off easily as well and you can just throw it in the wash and it is clean. There are a few downsides though. It does not fold up, so if you are tight on space it is kind of an annoyance. Since you can't put it away, mine also has scratches all over it because of my kids. Also the wood slates on the back on the chair make it hard to clean. You can clean in between, but it just takes time. Overall, high chair is very sturdy, which to me is the most important thing, and very durable (has lasted through 2+ kids), so I would recommend this high chair.

I bought this chair to replace one that was getting too small for my son.  He's not huge, just needed something that sat up straighter.  Thought this would be a great chair, since it matches out kitchen and dining room furniture.  It was good...for about 2 mos.  Then it started to fall apart.  I'm going to have to put screws into it to hold it together.  It's terrible! The pad doesn't stay on, and really, it's a joke.  The tray that is removable is far too easily removable.  The straps don't hold in anything/anyone.  This seat is super hard to clean! My son grabs the bars and then it's really hard to clean the bars and the seat off.  I am extremely disappointed in this product.  I even tried to ask about replacing it through Eddie Bauer...they wouldn't do anything.  It just isn't worth the money or headache.

I purchased the Eddie Bauer high chair because it is so beautiful compared to every other plastic colorful high chair out there.  And it is beautiful.  It looks like another piece of furniture in my house and blends in nicely.  The pad washes well and goes back on easy.  The downfalls are as follows:  Because the high chair is made of wood, it is harder to get dried food off of it.  There are wooden slats on the side of the high chair.  They look elegant, but again, trying to clean between them is a pain.  Also, this high chair does not come with wheels on the bottom.  I didn't realize, being a first time mom, that I would need to be moving the high chair from one place to another.  So my husband just lifts it and carries it when we need to move it to another room.  On the upside again, the tray does clean nicely, and I love that there is a removable tray.  This way when the baby makes a mess on the tray, you just lift the tray, wash it in the sink, and then snap it back on.

I wasn't too sure about this high chair when we first got it. My grandmother gave it to us as a gift and it was not the one we had registered for. I wanted something cute and frilly because we were having a girl. But grandma was set it was a boy. I think this is a little more masucline than I would've picked. But i am going to make a new cushion for it. Putting it together was fairly simple. I think it took about a half hour. I only needed a phillips screwdriver the allen wrench came with. There was less than a dozen screws to put in. The direction were clear and easy to follow. I like the storage space for the dishes though it not nearly big enough. But I keep my bibs in there so they are close by and out of site.  I do think the cushion could a little softer or plusher. This is a very sturdy and durable piece of furniture and looks very nice in our dinning room. We've only used it a few times but so far Peyton seems to like it and it has cleaned up easily.
