I picked out my Eddie Bauer wooden high chair for my first daughter in 2007. I am very picky, and I had a hard time finding a high chair that "went with my decor". Finally, I found this one at Target for $130. I was willing to pay for whatever, so I registered for it and luckily someone bought it for me and I didn't have to buy it. I am not impressed with it. First of all, it is HARD TO CLEAN!! This is one of the first things you should look at in a high chair. Because all kids are messy and they are at their messiest when they eat, especially things like spaghetti and red sauce. So, this chair is hard to clean. It is a fabric cushion that isn't hard to get off, but it has faded after only 3-4 washes. Plus, the wood part doesn't clean easily. The plastic cushions are alot better, in my opinion. Also, there are lots of places on the wood that have scratched, and I take very good care of my possessions. I do my best to keep them looking new. And this high chair didn't hold up for what I expected.
Now, the looks of it are PERFECT for my kitchen. It is Americana...and it goes great with my decor. But here is the thing....it is not practical, and definitely not worth the price that was paid. I would've rather had a nice high chair...with wheels. This high chair doesn't have wheels which makes it hard to move, especially when your child is in it. Plus, it doesn't recline and it makes it hard for a smaller baby to sit up in.
