While I really liked this Eddie Bauer highchair that we purchased, I can definitely see the inconvenience of having it around for too long. I loved the natural wood, the teddy bear pattern on the seat cover, and the way it fit in with our home colors and just the general, casual feel of it all. However, the wood and the size of the item was a bit cumbersome to move around, and I found myself dragging it across the floor when I needed to move it from spot to spot in our eating area.
The tray was great, as it had the removable part, so that helped when my little girl made a mess and then some, I could just lift that part out and let her make a second mess on the main tray area.
The vinyl seat cover is too cute, and easy to wipe down, but it does not come off of the item, so it's kind of hard to completely clean because of that. But with the material being the way that it is, a simple baby wipe or Clorox wipe can do wonders for getting off dried up baby food, etc.
And the fact that it doesn't fold up is a bit of an issue. I didn't want one to fold, but in retrospect I would only recommend this if you're OK w. that part. Because this chair becomes a piece of permanent furniture until your child grows out of it. So definitely take that into consideration before you buy!
