I am a licensed home daycare provider, and occasionally have the need to transport children in my vehicle. On those occasions, I usually have the parent leave their carseat because it is adjusted for the size of their child, and it is not something we do all the time. One of the children I watch has this carseat. This thing is miserable to move around. The seat weighs nearly 20 pounds and is very tall compared to most carseats. It is difficult to get in and out of a vehicle - and I drive a Ford Excursion, so space is not a problem. I hate this carseat so much that when it was time to get a new seat for my own son, I absolutely refused to even consider this one. If grandma needs to take the child, you have to move the seat. This is not something an older person can easily do. I have trouble with it and I am have been doing this a long time. Now, if you are looking for a seat that is solid and secures the child well, and you don't plan on EVER moving it - or you have a spare for those occasions when someone needs to transport the child in another vehicle, I'm sure the things I hate about this seat would be real positives. The taller profile of the back of the seat probably provides much better head support for older children (this one is rated for kids up to 100 pounds, so will last you forever). And I'm sure the heavier weight probably provides better protection as well. But I personally was so frustrated with the seat I wouldn't even consider it. And we literally NEVER move our main carseat, so these things wouldn't have been a problem for us. I do wonder though, how well one of these would fit into a smaller vehicle. So take it for what it's worth - if you won't be moving it, this is probably a great seat. If you will, then get something else.

although the seat was easy to install and the latch system did work, my son was very slouched over when sleeping.  His poor little head and neck was put in a terrible position.  Even with the recliner back and the headrest, his position was still horrible.  I was afraid to get rear ended with the way his head slumped.  Used it for one week and returned it.  Much happier with the new one we bought.

When we purchased a car seat we looked at many different kinds and ending up buying this one. It has all the safety features you could want, while still being extremely comfortable for your child. It was a bit more expensive than other models but we felt it was worth it, after all it is our children we are talking about. It has a very nice look and cleans up without much trouble. I would highly recommend this car seat to anyone in the market for one. You won't be sorry you bought it!

We bought two of these car seats because we liked the first one so much. However, the reason we own two is because you can't transport them from car to car very easily. They are bulky and built to stay put. I love the reclining feature but you can't use that once your child faces the front. The LATCH system on this car seat is really easy to use. I took my car into the fire station to get it checked out and they said I did it prefect on my own. The seat covers are simple to remove and wash (which is frequent during potty training). My daughter enjoys the arm rests and entertains herself pushing them up and down. I didn't use the cup holder because it stuck out too far and we couldn't shut the car door with it on. I wish it could be used on either side and not restricted to the right side. However, in her dad's car they use the cup holder frequently. My daughter has never been able to get out of her car seat as I have heard about other car seats. I think this seat is very safe but I hope I never find out for sure!

We have 2 vehicles. We recently traded in one of them because there was no place for a car seat. After buying a new truck we had to buy a new car seat. This is the one we bought and we are very pleased by it. The quality is great and the price was right.

We returned out Eddie Bauer 3 in 1 seat for this one because the 3 in 1 seat didn't fit in our car.  I thought this one was a great alternative and I think it's ok but who makes a car seat that you can't wash...oh Eddie Bauer.  My daugher is now 2 and potty training.  She rarely has accidents so I let her ride home (30 minutes) with her underwear on.  When we were almost home she peed in her seat.  It took me 20 minutes to get the seat cover off.  When I finally got it off I noticed the backing was a thin black material and I thought "I bet you can't wash this".  I found the manuel and it says hand wash with soapy water.  So now I have a peed on seat cover that really isn't clean because I couldn't really wash it.

Bought this car seat for my 1st child after she outgrew her infant carrier and kept her in it all the way until she was 4 years old and we transitioned to the the non-back booster seat. I thought the arm rests that went up and down was a pretty worthless feature until we were trying to put soething next to the seat and had to put them up. The fabric was easy to take off and wash, especially the strap covers and not too challenging to get back on.. I do have to agree with the fact that there is not alot of head support and I always felt bad for her when she was sleeping do the fact that it looked so unconfortable with her head hanging,, but she was sleeping so I guess it was okay! It rides really high so she really liked being able to see everything out the window compared to the other seat in the other car. She called it her princess thrown! Cupholders were nice and easy to get her sippy cups in and out. But I do think with our next kid I will do a little more shopping around.

We bought the Eddie Bauer High Back Booster Car Seat after looking at several different options for our third child.  We wanted something that he would be able to stay in for a reasonable amount of time and not grow out of too quickly but also something reasonably priced.  There are things I really enjoy about this car seat. The straps are easy to buckle and the chest buckle is easy to unbuckle however more difficult for a little ones fingers to unbuckle which I like.  The adjustment for the straps to tighten and loosen them is very convenient and easy to adjust.  Huge plus!   The cons of this car seat is that it's big.  It sits high up (which can me a pro for the little one to see out the window easier) but the base is rather wide because it can recline backwards.  I like this feature, however, reclining the seat back is difficult unless you are standing next to it and reclining.  A great feature but on a car trip it's not practical to stop when your child gets tired to tilt the carseat back and for me ends up being an unecessary feature.  Overall we are really pleased with this carseat and find it very solid and safe for our child.

I was blessed enough to receive the **Eddie Bauer Summit Deluxe High Back Booster Car Seat **as a baby shower gift.  I picked this one for my registary strictly because of it's name, "Eddie Bauer".  I know shame on me for not choosing for safety or quality.  Let me assure you the **Eddie Bauer Summit Deluxe High Back Booster Car Seat **has a lot to offer. I love that my child is able to sit in this seat for a long time.  I won't have to go out and buy several different cars seats throughout my child's car seat life.  The **Eddie Bauer Summit Deluxe High Back Booster Car Seat **has adjustable straps that seem to get tangled up often.  However the straps are easy to click in and it doesn't require a Phd. to figure out how to click them in.  There is a bonus feature to the straps and it allows you to shorten or make them longer with a simple push of a button!  I like the seat cover is easy to come off for a quick clean.  I would definitely recommend to a friend.

This is the worst car seat for a child I have ever come across.  Most children fall asleep in a car seat and this one will leave a child's head dangling over the strap and leave marks. I think it is not designed with small children in mind at all.  The safety aspect of this leaves a lot to be desired. The safety latch is also very complicated.
