I purchased this car seat before my son was born. It was on sale at Sears.com and I knew the Eddie Bauer was a great company already. It does great, especially for the price that was paid for it. My only problem is the belt. It does not extend with baby very far. Ease of Installation It was super easy to install and very easy to get in the car. We could not use the base because of how our SUV seat are. Child's Comfort As the baby got a couple of months older, I expected the belt to loosen a little better. Support and Safety Definitely safe and effective. Ease of Use Easy to use and carry. Design It has a very nice look. A head rest was included. Durability It is so easy to keep clean and damage-free. Nothing has broken, cracked, etc. Still in perfect condition.

We purchased this car seat after our son had outgrown his infant carrier.  Since he wasn't yet one year old at the time, we need one that could be put in backwards.  We like the fact that you can get so many uses out of it... up to a booster seat.  We've had it for a year and we love it.  I LOVE the recline option to this car seat.  We looked at tons of different options and didn't see that recline option in too many of them.  It's great for babies because when they fall asleep in the car seat, their head doesn't lurch forward because of the recline.  When they are older, you can put it back to straight up to give them more leg room.  I love the look (very neutral) and only wished we had purchased two of them.  Now that we have two kids, we wanted two car seat that matched, so we will be donating this year-old one to our church.  But, we will be looking at another Eddie Bauer for sure!  We will be repeat customers because of the quality.

I purchased this product for my brother and sister in law as a baby shower gift when my nephew was born.  It was a 3 in 1, making it the only car seat or booster seat they would need for my nephew.  The color pattern was neutral which made it good in the event they have a little girl.   When it was rear facing, it was kind of big and bulky.  It seemed to take up a lot more of the rear seat than other rear facing car seats.  However, it was still manageable.   Now that it is a forward facing car seat, it fits better in the rear seat.  My nephew appears comfortable in the seat.  The covering has held up great (they have had it for almost 2 years).   We routinely swap this car seat in and out of vehicles.  If I am driving, it will go in my car.  If they drive, it stays in their car.  In my brothers car, he uses the seat belt to hold the seat in place.  In my car, I have those built in car seat anchor points.  While placing the car seat is easier in my car due to the anchor points, it still takes no more than 5 minutes to put in either car.  Ease of Installation This car seat has now be in and out of so many vehicles, it is almost comical. It is extremely easy to take in and out especially now that it is a booster seat. I have had it in my two vehicles, my brother has three, and my parents have 2 vehicles. Of course, each vehicle is slightly different, however installation was quick and effectively in each vehicle. Child's Comfort The longest car trip of 6 hours and the nephew was able to sleep for most of the trip in his car seat, based on that I would say he was comfortable. Durability My nephew is now almost 4 and is in the booster seat. This car seat has withstood the test of time. My parents purchased a second one for their cars (3 grandbabies all 4 and under, so it gets used). The covering/liner still looks great on both seats. It is easy to take off and wash. The kids seem comfortable even during long car trips.

I have been using the same seat for five years now and it is on my second child. I have never had any problems what so ever with it. It was easy to assemble. It is easy to put in and remove from the car. It feels totally secure when in place. It comes in great design and color choices so it is easy to find something that you and your child are happy with. It is great that is converts so it can grow with your child. I always used a baby seat so I could carry it in and out of the store without unstrapping the baby so I didn't use it for this purpose but I did use it the rest of the time with my children until they could get into a high back booster seat. I would have used this all the way up until the end of weight but I had a second baby and it was cheaper to buy a high back booster seat instead of buying another car seat. But the seat works great and I always loved it. It held up wonderfully over the years.

I was looking for a car seat that provided superior protection and also looked nice in the car. The Eddie Bauer Deluxe fit the bill on both counts, and it is able to be converted into a booster seat for children up to 100 lbs, which makes it even more economical.  These are the positive features. However, one thing my husband and I can't stand is how difficult it is to tighten the restraint to the right tension.  It seems to require superhuman strength to do this, which is a major drawback.  The boys are unable to unbuckle the lap part of the restraint, which is a pro or con, depending on if you have kids that try to get out while the car is in motion. The seat fits well in our Chrysler Town and Country Mini Van, but we have had some problems transferring it to certain cars because it is at the wrong angle in those cars.  It is relatively easy to install. Because of the difficulty tightening the restraint alone, I would never recommend this car seat.  That is a major design engineering flaw that neds to be fixed, and then it would get a thumbs up from me.

I purchased this seat for my daughter over 2 years ago.  I didn't do any research on car seats so we picked one based on weight limits and look.  Although it has a hight weight limit and looks nice it didn't fit in our car so we had to return it.  I later read that a lot of people had to either use a pool noodle or rolled up towel under the seat to get in installed properly.

I was a bit uncertain at first about the Eddie Bauer Convertible Car Seat.  It seems like a good product and yet I was not sure that Eddie Bauer could make a car seat that would meet my expectations.  I wanted to have a seat that would keep my child not only safe however would have them stay very comfortable during long car rides...or even short ones I guess. A store had this car seat on display so I was able to touch the seat and compare it with other more well known brand name car seats.  I have to say that this seat had the most cushion of the ones that I was able to compare it to and that was impressive. While my children were infants, I used other seats that were specificly made for infants and found that those worked much better than this as a convertible seat with infants.  As the children grew, this seat became our favorite.  It is comfortable, grows with them, has a cup holder and was a great buy overall.  Enjoy!

We received the Eddie Bauer Deluxe 3-in-1 convertible car seat as a baby shower gift. Our daughter initially rode in the carrier car seat that attached to her stroller, but once she was about 6 months old we moved her into the Eddie Bauer. It appears to be comfy for her, she does not mess with the seatbelt clip, and we've had no problems so far. My only "complaint" is that it's fairly hard to clean / vacuum if she drops cracker crumbs down in the seat cushion.

Ok if I am going to pay for quality it's definitely in a carseat! This was expensive, but well worth it! We have 2! One for my 4.5 year old and one for my 2.5 year old! They sit perfectly down in them, and can sleep well if they fall asleep. They are secure and sturdy. I definitely would recomend these!
